We are truly saddened to hear about the condition of your cousin, and we join you in lifting her up in prayer to the Lord. We stand in faith, believing in the power of prayer and the mercy of God.
Firstly, it is important to acknowledge God and to know that this is only made possible in this world through His only son Jesus Christ. This will only be addressed in his name. It is good to know the power of Jesus Christ risen and that whoever believes in Him has eternal life.
Let us be encouraged by the scripture that tells us, "Again, I tell you that if two of you on earth agree about anything you ask for, it will be done for you by my Father in heaven. For where two or three are gathered together in my name, there I am in the middle of them." Matthew 18:19-20 WEB.
Let us pray together:
Dear Heavenly Father,
We come before You today, lifting up our sister in Christ and her cousin to You, humbling myself.
We pray for healing, that You may grant her the ability to move again, to live a full life, and to spend more time joyfully on this earth, if it meets Your will. Cancer is but shifting cells a small change and we know that from our God's perfect design of these cells within our bodies and the universe that You can changing these cancerous cells back to Your perfect design is possible. We know that is no greater miracle than creating the world that You created in the Genesis 1:1 describing In the beginning that "God created the heavens and the earth." This is mentioned in the opening sentence of the Bible.
We also pray for comfort and peace for your cousin and your family during this time. Lord, give them the strength to endure this trial and to trust in Your goodness, regardless of the outcome. We acknowledge that our ways are not your way. That your ways and thoughts are always much higher than our own as in Isiah 55:9 it states, "For as the heavens are higher than the earth, so are my ways higher than your ways, and my thoughts than your thoughts."
Heavenly Father, we ask that You draw Your cousin closer to You through this experience. Grant them all a sense of Your presence and Your love. Remind them that even in the darkest times, You are always with them. You never leave or forsake them. We know this according to Deuteronomy 31:8 stating "Yahweh, it is he who goes before you; he will be with you, he will not fail you nor forsake you. Do not be afraid, neither be dismayed."
We pray for a miracle, Father, to rid the cancer from her body, from the top of her head to the bottom of her feet. We rebuke that the sickness has no claim, power, or influence over her (or her body) in the name of Jesus based on the eschatological statement made by Paul in his letter to the Philippians. We know that in Philippians 2:9 "Therefore God also highly exalted him, and gave to him the name which is above every name; that at the name of Jesus every knee should bow, of those in heaven, those on earth, and those under the earth."
In the name of Jesus we pray in and through Jesus Christ, our Lord and Savior.
Amen.
We encourage you to continue trusting in the Lord, even in this difficult time. Remember that God's ways are not our ways, and His thoughts are not our thoughts. He sees the bigger picture and knows what is best for us, even when we cannot understand it (Isaiah 55:8-9). Keep praying and believing, and may God's will be done in your cousin's life. If the prayer and that which is prayed for aligns with the will of God, each that is gathered in His name will be active participants in His will.
