Let us come together in prayer for Robert Ramos Acosta and his current situation. We understand that he is facing mental health challenges and is making choices that may not be beneficial for his well-being. Robert has decided against comfortable, warm accommodations and instead lives in a family residence that's not only unsafe but also lacking in basic amenities. Our hearts go out to him and his family during this challenging time. This is a difficult time and we trust and pray for God's intervention and direction.
Firstly, we want to emphasize the power of praying in the name of Jesus Christ. Scripture tells us, Being confident of this very thing, that he who began a good work in you will perform it until the day of Jesus Christ: (Philippians 1:6 WEB). It is through the name of Jesus that we have access to God, and it is through His name that we are saved. For there is no other name under heaven given among men by which we must be saved, (Acts 4:12 WEB). As we pray for Robert, let us remember the power and importance of praying in Jesus' name.
Now, let us address the issue at hand. Mental illness can affect a person's decision-making abilities, and it seems like Robert is struggling with this. We remember the Lord's promise. Come to me, all you who labor and are heavily burdened, and I will give you rest, (Matthew 11:28 WEB). Psalm 46:1 reminds us that God is our refuge and strength, a very present help in trouble. With these promises in mind, let us pray and address all the issues with scripture. he beauty of a man is not his strength.
Heavenly Father, in the name of Jesus Christ, we lift up Robert to you. We pray that You will have mercy on him and heal him from his mental illness. Guide him to make better decisions that will positively impact his life, and lead others to do so as we know that this burden does not just affect him. We ask that you would help him have personal peace and happiness but also be a testimony to your work in his life and lead others to receive the message of salvation as well.
The Occupational Therapy packages are with the skills that he has, that he can apply them to the common good. The bible reminds us not to bury our talents but use them for the common good (Matthew 25:14-30 WEB). It seems like it would be an added benefit for the family and Robert to bless the community of believers or community in general by using these skills that God has entrusted Robert with.
We pray that you grant Robert wisdom and clarity of mind while also instructing him for his heart's desires, also knowing that loving wisdom is better than silver or Gold (Proverbs 16:16 WEB). Lord, we ask that you surround Robert with wise counselors who can guide him towards living a healthier, safe, and productive life.
As well we pray that you will also grant Robert's family the wisdom and strength to support him in a way that is helpful and beneficial. Let them be an example of God as they show love, patience, support, as well as strong boundaries. Show them when it is good to help and when it may not be in Robert's best interest as they work to help him live as he should. Guide them so they are not derelict of duty being helpers (Romans 12:13) nor enablers to behavior that causes more harm that good.
We are thankful that none of this is out of your control. You are at work in the hearts, minds, and actions of all those involved. May Robert fulfill the plans you have for his welfare. You allow all to walk in their own way away from you (Daniel 12:10), but may YOUR holy spirit convict so that our steps are ordered back towards you. (Psalms 37:24 WEB).
While praying we also must take action to love and care for Robert and his family as we pray they have someone to provide manual labor and assist them to repair the home as we know that there are times we must show our faith and love by our deeds (James 2:14-26 WEB), doing good to all men, and especially unto them who are of the household of faith (James 6:10) as a way to build up the body. May these actions along with our prayers provide opportunities to be witnesses of what Jesus can do and result in salvation of the entire family.
Finally Lord let Robert join a scriptural local church (Hebrews 10:24-25 WEB) that they call upon the name of the Lord Jesus and Christians Grow and Do and Grow and Be like Jesus (Ephesians 4:11-16)
and Bow our hearts to His teachings and live obeying him (Daniel 12:10) while depending on his faithfulness (1 Corinthians 10:13 WEB) sustaining us to do so. How wonderful to be with others who also believe in Jesus Christ and that through him we can go to God. Therefor Therefore I tell you, all things whatever you pray and ask for, believe that you have received them, and you shall have them.(Mark 11:24 ). Father, we ask this in Jesus name
