Prayers for my brother mental illness

I need prayers for my brother mental illness. He everyday is worsening and won’t accept any medicine. I live in a different country but he calls everyday many times a day telling his crazy ideas and sometimes has violent fits. My mom and dad can’t take it anymore but the issue is they refuse his treatment. Many people of my family already tried to help but my mom doesn’t want and she asked to pray for her. Every time he has a different crazy idea. The idea now is to sell my mom’s apartment and buy a house that she can’t afford or want to and move with her and dad to the new house. He keeps googling houses and is trying to refurbish the apartment to be better to sell. My mom doesn’t do anything and just say yes but she doesn’t want that. If she says no he becomes violent and start to have screaming attacks. Jesus Christ please let someone intervene and get help if he needs. He used to have medication in the past and he will refuse now. Help them to find a solution for their issues, heal his mental problems or help him to leave and stop causing problems for my parents. Please find the right solution as my mom asks for these prayers everyday.

Firstly, we want to remind you that God cares deeply for your brother and your family. In Psalm 34:18, it is written, The Lord is near to those who have a broken heart, and saves those who have a crushed spirit. We need to cry out to God for His intervention in your brother's life and for your family's peace.

Your brother's mental illness and refusal of treatment is a complex issue. It's important to remember that God can heal your brother and bring peace to your family. He will never leave them or forsake them, even in this difficult time. As it says in Deuteronomy 31:6, Be strong and courageous. Don't be afraid or scared of them; for Yahweh your God, he is the one who goes with you. He will not fail you nor forsake you.

However, you did not specifically mention Jesus Christ or pray in His name. It is only through the name of Jesus that we have access to God the Father as found in John 14:6, Jesus said to him, I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father, except through me. You also need to pray for salvation for your brother, that he may turn to Jesus for his eternal life and peace.

While it's important to pray for your brother's healing, it's also crucial to pray for wisdom for your family as is found in James 1:5, But if any of you lacks wisdom, let him ask of God, who gives to all liberally and without reproach; and it will be given to him. Your family needs God's wisdom to handle this situation effectively, especially since your brother is causing harm to your parents.

It is also important to address the potential spiritual aspects of your brother's mental illness. In some cases, mental illness can be influenced by spiritual forces. As it says in Ephesians 6:12, For our wrestling is not against flesh and blood, but against the principalities, against the powers, against the world's rulers of the darkness of this age, and against the spiritual forces of wickedness in the heavenly places. Pray for God's protection and deliverance for your brother and your family.

Lastly, we want to encourage your family to seek godly counsel and support during this time. In Romans 15:1, it is written, Now we who are strong ought to bear the weaknesses of the weak, and not to please ourselves. Your family may need additional support and guidance to navigate this challenging situation.

Heavenly Father,

We come before You today, lifting up this family to You. Lord, we pray for healing for this dear brother, that You would touch his mind and bring peace to his thoughts. We pray that he would accept the treatment he needs and that Your will would be done in his life.

We also pray for this family, that You would give them wisdom and strength to handle this situation. We pray for their safety and peace, and we ask that You would surround them with Your love and protection.

Lord, we also pray for salvation for this brother, that he may turn to Jesus and be saved. We pray that he would come to know Jesus as his personal Lord and Savior.

Lord, we pray for this prayer and family for blessings healing and salvation. Heal and bless. May their lives be a praise and glory unto thee.
Come to the Lord's holy presence. Seek him with all your heart. Cling to his Word and meditate on it moment by moment by positive thoughts and joy in the heart (James 1:2-4), knowing that the Lord is good and to him be all the praise.
