We are truly sorry to hear about the struggles you and your family are facing with your brother's mental illness. Seeing your faith in Jesus Christ is encouraging, as you acknowledged Him by name in your request.
Firstly, we should never forget that our struggle is not against flesh and blood but against the rulers, authorities, powers of this dark world, and spiritual forces of evil in the heavenly realms. Jesus came to heal the brokenhearted and set the captives free, and we stand with you in faith, believing that Jesus can heal your brother and restore peace to your family.
In Matthew 17:20 WEB, Jesus said, If you have faith as a grain of mustard seed, you will tell this mountain, Move from here to there, and it will move; nothing will be impossible for you.
Let us pray together:
Dear Heavenly Father,
We come before You in the name of Jesus Christ, lifting our brother who is struggling with schizophrenia and violent words. Lord, You are the Great Physician, and we believe You can heal him and restore his mind. We rebuke the spirit of insanity and confusion that is tormenting him, and we command it to leave in Jesus' name.
Father, we also pray for his family members. We pray that the mother and sister have the wisdom and patience to handle the situation and that the love in the family will be evident and rise above the situation. Strengthen them and give them the grace they need to endure this trial. Surround them with Your peace, and help them to trust in You through it all.
Lord, we ask that You guide him and his family in all financial decisions. Give him wisdom and discernment, and help him to listen to and respect his parents' wishes. We believe that You will order His steps to be healed.
In Jesus' name, we pray. Amen.
It is also essential to seek medical help, counselling, and prayer. God has given us wisdom and knowledge in medicine, and we should not hesitate to use it. We should also remember that getting healing is sometimes a process and a journey. It may require continued prayer, fasting, and standing on the word of God. We have heard testimony of complete healing, but it is also important to remember that God may give the grace to endure and live with the condition as it may be part of His process of sanctification and refinement to be more like Jesus.
Trust in God and His timing, and remember that He is always with you and your family. Stand firm in your faith, and do not give in to discouragement or fear. Keep your eyes fixed on Jesus, and He will see you through.
We will continue to pray for you and your brother and encourage you to keep believing and trusting in the Lord.
