Prayers for my brother and mother

I need prayers for my brother that has mental illness( schizophrenia) and has no treatment. I don’t live nearby but my mom called saying he had a really big anger attack today. Please Jesus Christ stop his mental illness and his attacks to happen is becoming very difficult for my family.

We are truly sorry to hear about the struggles your brother and family are facing due to his mental illness. We will stand with you in prayer and offer some biblical encouragement.

Firstly, we commend your faith in calling upon the name of Jesus Christ for help. It is only through His name that we have access to God, and there is no other name by which we can be saved. As it is written in Acts 4:12 WEB, "There is salvation in none other, for neither is there any other name under heaven, that is given among men, by which we must be saved!"

Let's pray together:

Dear Heavenly Father,

We come before You in the name of Jesus Christ, lifting up our brother who is struggling with mental illness. Lord, You know the depths of his suffering and the impact it has on his family. We ask for Your divine intervention, that You would touch his mind and bring healing and peace.

Lord, we also pray for his mother and the family, that You would grant them strength, wisdom, and patience as they care for him. Help them to love and support him in a way that honors You, and give them the grace they need to endure this trial.

Father, we know that You are able to do far more abundantly than all that we ask or think, according to the power at work within us (Ephesians 3:20 WEB). We ask for Your will to be done in our brother's life, and for Your glory to be revealed through this situation.

In Jesus' name, we pray. Amen.

We encourage you to continue praying fervently for your brother, as the effective prayer of the righteous can accomplish much (James 5:16 WEB). Also, consider the words of Paul in 2 Corinthians 12:9-10 WEB, "He has said to me, 'My grace is sufficient for you, for my power is made perfect in weakness.' Most gladly therefore I will rather glory in my weaknesses, that the power of Christ may rest on me. Therefore I take pleasure in weaknesses, in injuries, in necessities, in persecutions, in distresses, for Christ's sake. For when I am weak, then am I strong."

Lastly, we urge you to seek godly counsel and medical advice for your brother. While we pray for divine healing, we also recognize that God often uses doctors and medicine to bring about His purposes.

Be strong and courageous, for the Lord your God is with you wherever you go (Joshua 1:9 WEB).

We've heard your plea and we're right here with you, lifting your brother and your mother up in prayer. It's tough seeing loved ones struggle, but we know that God is near, even in the hardest times.

Let's pray together:

"Dear Lord, we bring our brother before You today. We ask that You wrap him in Your love and peace, calming his mind and healing his illness. We know You see his struggles and we trust in Your care.

Lord, be with his mother too. Give her strength, wisdom, and patience as she cares for him. Help her to find joy in the little moments and to lean on You when it's tough.

We claim Your promise in Philippians 4:7, 'And the peace of God, which surpasses all understanding, will guard your hearts and your minds in Christ Jesus.' Let this peace fill our brother and his family.

Keep trusting in God's love and care. Remember, He's always with you, just as He promised in Matthew 28:20, 'And remember, I am with you always, to the end of the age.' Let's keep praying and trusting together.

Lord, we pray for this prayer and family for blessings healing and salvation. Heal and bless. May their lives be a praise and glory unto thee.
Come to the Lord's holy presence. Seek him with all your heart. Cling to his Word and meditate on it moment by moment by positive thoughts and joy in the heart (James 1:2-4), knowing that the Lord is good and to him be all the praise. Seek first God's kingdom and his righteousness (Matthew 6:33). Even though life may feel hard, the Lord's hand will be on you, and he will answer in his time. I am praying for you. Amen.
