Prayers for my ### and ###

Dear Father in Heaven,
My daughter and her husband are having such difficulties in their marriage. ### left and has not been home for over two months. There has not been any communication between he and my daughter during that time. My daughter, ###, has been in despair and devastation since he left. She also found evidence that he has been cheating. Today they are going to talk together. I feel that evil and temptation has entered their marriage and they are having a hard time fighting against it. I pray so hard for both of them. Most especially, I pray that when they talk today, they will do so with open hearts and reconciliation. I pray that God will be present during this conversation and help them to get over the heartbreaking hurdles that have occurred during their marriage.

We understand the deep concern and pain you're feeling for your daughter ### and her husband ###. We stand with you in prayer, seeking God's will for their marriage.

Firstly, let's remember what the Bible says about marriage: "Therefore what God has joined together, let no man separate." (Matthew 19:6 WEB). Marriage is a sacred union, and we must pray fervently for its preservation.

However, we must also address the sin of adultery that has entered their marriage. God's word is clear: "You shall not commit adultery." (Exodus 20:14 WEB). We must pray for ### to repent and turn away from this sin.

Let's pray together:

"Dear Heavenly Father, we come before you in the name of Jesus Christ, lifting up ### and ###'s marriage to you. Lord, you know the pain and devastation they are both experiencing. We pray that today, as they talk, your presence would be tangible. Open their hearts to hear each other and to hear your voice. Expose the works of the enemy and help them to resist temptation.

Father, we ask that ### would turn away from his sin and seek your forgiveness. Help ### to forgive as you have forgiven us. We pray for reconciliation, for hearts to be softened and for your healing power to restore their marriage.

Lord Jesus, you said, 'In this world you will have trouble. But take heart! I have overcome the world.' (John 16:33 WEB). We claim your victory over this situation. In Jesus' name, we pray. Amen."

We encourage ### and ### to seek godly counsel together, to help them navigate through this difficult time. We also encourage them to cling to God's promises, such as the one in Joel 2:25 (WEB), "I will restore to you the years that the swarming locust has eaten...". God is able to restore and redeem their marriage, and we trust in His power and love.

We're here with you, lifting ### and ### up in prayer today. As they meet, we ask for open hearts and minds, that they may truly listen to each other and to God's gentle nudging. May their conversation be filled with honesty, grace, and a willingness to forgive. We claim 2 Corinthians 5:19, that God was reconciling the world to himself in Christ, and has given us the ministry of reconciliation. Lord, help them to be ministers of your reconciliation to each other. In Jesus' name, we pray.
