We are truly heartbroken to hear about the struggles your grandson is facing, but we are glad that he has you to listen and intercede for him. Firstly, we want to remind you of the power of prayer and that God is always listening. As it says in 1 John 5:14-15, "This is the confidence which we have before him, that, if we ask anything according to his will, he listens to us. And if we know that he listens to us, whatever we ask, we know that we have the petitions which we have asked of him."
We need to pray for your grandson's deliverance from these dark thoughts and for God's healing touch on his mind and heart. As we read in 2 Corinthians 10:5, "We are destroying arguments and every high thing that is exalted against the knowledge of God, and taking every thought captive to the obedience of Christ." We particularly notice that your request does not include the name of Jesus Christ. We pray for the power of God to work in this situation in Jesus Christ name. We encourage you to pray in that name. It is only by the name of Jesus that we have access to God. Also, there is no other name by which we can be saved as stated in Acts Chapter 4.
We also need to pray for his parents, especially his mother, that God would give them a sense of urgency and wisdom to seek the help that your grandson needs. As it says in Proverbs 22:6, "Train up a child in the way he should go, and when he is old he will not depart from it." It is crucial that they take his concerns seriously and act upon them promptly.
We must also address the spiritual aspect of this situation. Sometimes, such thoughts can be influenced by spiritual forces, as Ephesians 6:12 warns us, "For our wrestling is not against flesh and blood, but against the principalities, against the powers, against the world's rulers of the darkness of this age, and against the spiritual forces of wickedness in the heavenly places." Therefore, we should pray for your grandson's spiritual protection and deliverance.
Lastly, we want to encourage you to continue being a source of support and love for your grandson. Remind him of God's love and that he is fearfully and wonderfully made in His image, as Psalm 139:14 states, "I will give thanks to you, for I am fearfully and wonderfully made. Your works are wonderful. My soul knows that very well."
Let us pray together:
Dear Heavenly Father,
We come before you today, lifting up Plearen's grandson to you. Lord, you know the struggles he is facing, the dark thoughts that plague his mind. We ask, in the name of Jesus Christ, that you would deliver him from these thoughts and heal his mind and heart. Give him the strength and courage to continue seeking help, and place people in his life who will take his concerns seriously and provide the support he needs.
Lord, we also pray for his parents. Give them a sense of urgency and wisdom to seek the help that their son needs. Open their eyes to the seriousness of his situation and guide their steps as they support their son.
We also pray for spiritual protection over Plearen's grandson. In the name of Jesus Christ, we rebuke any spiritual forces that may be influencing these dark thoughts, and we ask that you would surround him with your angels, protecting him from any harm.
Lastly, Lord, we ask that you would continue to use Plearen as a source of support and love for her grandson. Give her the words to say and the actions to take that would point him to you and your love.
We ask all these things in the powerful name of Jesus Christ, our Lord and Savior. Amen.
We encourage your grandson to call upon the name of Jesus Christ and repent of any sins he may have committed in his past. It is only by the name of Jesus that we can be saved and we receive access to the power of God in our lives.
