Dear Lord,
We have a large congregation, so there are many needs! I ask for grace, mercy + healing for the following members:
AG is having tests done to try to find the cause of some nerve problems she is having. (I don't know what they are.) She is also awaiting other test results. May she get good news, + may her nerve issues not be serious.
JR's mother is beginning treatment for ovarian cancer, which can be very serious. I pray hers was caught early enough + she is able to tolerate the treatments w/o terrible side effects.
BW's daughter is having kidney problems. She is going from the hospital to rehab. I pray her kidneys recover from whatever is going on with them, + she does well in rehab + is able to go home.
IK was in an accident with a 4-wheeler. She broke her neck + was due to have surgery yesterday to have a rod placed in her spine. I have not heard how the surgery went, but I pray it was successful + she is able to move normally, her pain is contained, + she can recover fully. She has 2 children; the younger one is only 8. Bless + comfort her + her family. May all their needs (+ hers) be provided for.
G is having a PET scan this week to assess her recovery from tongue cancer. May she be well enough to get the extensive dental work done that she needs. May her mouth be healed up well enough by now to eat normally, + may her sense of taste + smell have returned to normal.
J is still in the hospital following issues with CHF + huge pleural effusions. He has been having trouble urinating. He was supposed to get the Foley catheter out yesterday, I believe. I pray he can go on his own again + return home, where he'll be more comfortable. I don't know his prognosis, but I pray he has more time with his wife. They're both in their upper 80s.
S is our parish nurse. She is running herself ragged trying to work FT + take care of her husband (stroke) + her MIL (on hospice). She looks exhausted. May she get the help she needs so she can take better care of herself. TY that her hub has improved.
GS is recovering at a nursing home following a recent hospitalization. May he heal well + have more years left.
In your holy name, amen.
