Sister Ambria

Humble Prayer Partner
I’m in need of prayers in Jesus’ name for my well-being. I realized I was putting other things above God and now I’m feeling convicted to just go offline and spend time with Him. I don’t really know how to read the Bible and study it, and I honestly have ended up masturbating twice this morning to feel something. I really need help and prayers. I feel like crap.

Sister Ambria, we are here to lift you up in prayer and guide you according to God's Word. Firstly, we commend you for recognizing that you have been putting other things above God, and for your desire to spend more time with Him. It's important to remember the words of Jesus in Matthew 6:33 WEB, "But seek first God’s Kingdom, and his righteousness; and all these things will be given to you as well."

Let's address the concerns you raised. To start your journey into the Bible, we suggest beginning with the Gospel of John to understand the life and teachings of Jesus. Then, you can explore other books, asking the Holy Spirit for guidance. Psalm 119:105 WEB tells us, "Your word is a lamp to my feet, and a light for my path." We encourage you to join Bible study groups, use reliable study tools, and always approach the Scriptures with a humble and teachable heart.

We must also address the sin of masturbation, which is a form of sexual immorality. The Bible teaches us to flee from sexual immorality (1 Corinthians 6:18-20 WEB). It's important to resist temptation and keeps our bodies pure, remember that your body is a temple of the Holy Spirit. Instead of trying to "feel something" through masturbation, seek to fill your life with God's presence, and you will experience a joy and peace that surpasses all understanding (Philippians 4:7 WEB).

We pray for you, Sister Ambria:

"Heavenly Father, thank You for Sister Ambria's conviction to put You first in her life. Please guide her as she starts to read and study Your Word. Give her understanding and revelation by Your Holy Spirit. We also pray that You would help her overcome the struggle with masturbation. Strengthen her and help her to resist temptation. Restore to her the joy of Your salvation, and uphold her by Your generous Spirit. This we ask in Jesus' name, Amen."

Remember, God is faithful and just to forgive us our sins and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness (1 John 1:9 WEB). Keep your focus on Jesus, and He will help you overcome. We encourage you to find fellowship with other believers who can support and encourage you in your walk with Christ. Stay strong, Sister Ambria, and keep pursuing a deeper relationship with God.

We're here for you, sister. We understand that you're feeling convicted and that's a good thing. It means your spirit is alive and responding to God's call. Let's keep that fire burning.

We agree with the suggestion to start with the Gospel of John. It's a great way to understand Jesus' life and teachings. But let's not stop there. How about we also try to read a Psalm each day? They're like little prayers we can make our own. Psalm 143:10 comes to mind, "Teach me to do your will, for you are my God; may your good Spirit lead me on level ground." Let's ask God to guide us as we read.

About the other struggle, remember, God is in the business of transformation. He's not surprised by our past, and He's not shaming us for it. Let's ask Him to help us. Let's pray together, "Lord, help me to resist temptation. Help me to fill my life with You. Help me to see myself as You see me - righteous, holy, and loved. In Jesus' name, we pray, Amen."

Let's also reach out to a mentor or a trusted friend. Talking it out can bring clarity and encouragement. And remember, sister, you're not alone. We're in this together, one day at a time. Let's keep pressing on, seeking God's face, and trusting His process.

Heavenly Father, we lift up this person to You, who is seeking Your help and healing. Lord, they come with an open and humble heart, acknowledging their struggles and seeking Your forgiveness and grace. We pray that You draw near to them, guiding them on a path to a deeper relationship with You and helping them find peace and purpose in Your presence.

Your Word says, *“If we confess our sins, He is faithful and just and will forgive us our sins and purify us from all unrighteousness.”* – 1 John 1:9. We pray that You forgive and cleanse them, reminding them of Your endless mercy and love. Lift away any shame or guilt, replacing it with the assurance of Your grace and acceptance.

Father, as they turn their attention away from distractions and seek to spend more time with You, we ask for Your guidance in understanding and reading the Bible. *“Your word is a lamp for my feet, a light on my path.”* – Psalm 119:105. Help them to approach Your Word with an open heart and mind, finding wisdom, comfort, and truth in every verse. Grant them insight and understanding as they seek to draw closer to You through Your Word.

Lord, we ask for strength in areas of temptation, that they may find their comfort, peace, and fulfillment in You alone. *“No temptation has overtaken you except what is common to mankind. And God is faithful; He will not let you be tempted beyond what you can bear.”* – 1 Corinthians 10:13. Strengthen them, Lord, to turn away from anything that hinders their growth, and fill them with a renewed sense of purpose, identity, and hope in You.

Thank You, Father, for Your patience, compassion, and constant support. Surround them with Your presence and help them walk each day in the peace and joy that only You can give. In Jesus’ name, we ask for strength, renewal, and guidance for the days ahead.

Amen.

May God in Jesus' name answer your prayer request according to God's perfect love, wisdom, will, timing, grace, and mercy. Thank You Jesus!!!

Psalm 37:4: Delight yourself in the Lord, And He shall give you the desires of your heart.
Matthew 6:33: But seek first the kingdom of God and His righteousness, and all these things shall be added to you.

Thank you for giving us the privilege to pray on your behalf. We are glad that that you asked us to stand in agreement with you in prayer. If your request was answered, please post a praise report and let us all know. If your request does not seem to have been answered, please post it again as a new request and allow us to continue with you in prayer. We all hope that our prayers are answered in the way that we want. Sometimes we believe that God is not answering our prayers because we do not see what we expect. In these cases, we should persist in prayer and determine how God is answering our prayer. May God bless you as you continue to seek him through his son, Jesus Christ.
