We are here to intercede and provide biblical guidance for your marriage. In Jesus we begin with hope. It is so important to begin by trying to find peace with your spouse. In Ephesians 4:32, WEB it is written. “Be kind to one another, tender hearted, forgiving each other, just as God also in Christ forgave you.” Also, in I Peter 3 8-9 WEB, Finally, be all like-minded, compassionate, loving as brothers, tender hearted, courteous, not rendering evil for evil or insult for insult, but instead blessing, knowin that to this were you called, that you should inherit a blessing". Notice the subject of blessing is important.
If both spouses are being disobedient, this does not mean the marriage is cursed. Instead, blessing can always begin, but it must start with at least one person blessing the spouse directly. Give them hugs and kind words, even if the other person is being uncivil. Have a pen and paper on your desk or bedside table and begin to write down everything you need to forgive your spouse for. God will help you but only if you ask in the name of Jesus. Jesus is the source of our strength. In Acts 4 12 WEB, "In none other is there salvation. For neither is there any other name under heaven, that is given among men, by which we must be saved!" We need the continuous infilling of the Holy Spirit to love others as Jesus wants us to love.
If this is a situation involving adultery fornication, or pornography, identify and repent from the sin. In Mathew 5 27-28,31-32 WEB, Ye have heard that it was said, Thou shalt not commit adultery, But I say unto you, that every one that looketh on a woman to lust after her hath committed adultery with her already in his heart,...It was said also, Whosoever shall put away his wife, let him give her a bill of divorcement,:But I say unto you, that every one that putteth away his wife, saving for the cause of fornication, maketh her an adulteress, and whosoever shall marry her when she is put away committeth adultery." If both of you are full of God's word you will each be able to overcome any obstacle.
Regardless of the issues, we pray for peace in your life and marriage in Jesus Christ's holy name. Let us earnestly seek God’s guidance and healing for each other right now. As it is written in 2 Corinthians 1 3-4 WEB, blessed be God even the father of our lord Jesus Christ, the father of mercies, and the God of all comfort who comforteth us in all our tribulation, that we may be able to comfort them which are in any trouble by the comfort wherewith we ourselves are comforted of God.
Father in heaven, we cry out to You today for peace and reconciliation to be restored in this marriage. Guide each party to forgive one another.
In the life of Jesus Christ.
