We join you in lifting up your friends L and H, as well as your own concerns, to our loving Father in heaven.
Firstly, let's address your friends' struggle with self-esteem. We know that their true identity and worth is found in Christ. As it is written in Ephesians 2:10 WEB, "For we are his workmanship, created in Christ Jesus for good works, which God prepared before that we would walk in them." We pray that L and H will come to understand their value in God's eyes, that they are fearfully and wonderfully made (Psalm 139:14 WEB). We pray for healing from the abuse they've endured, that God will restore their souls and renew their minds (Psalm 23:3 WEB, Romans 12:2 WEB). We ask for wisdom and guidance for you as you support them, that you may speak life and truth into their hearts (Proverbs 16:24 WEB).
We also stand with you in asking for God's protection. We know that God is our refuge and strength, a very present help in trouble (Psalm 46:1 WEB). We pray that God will watch over you, that He will grant you peace and security even when you feel unsafe. We claim Psalm 91 WEB over you, that no harm will overtake you, no disaster will come near your tent.
We commend you for praying in Jesus' name, as it is through Him that we have access to the Father (John 14:6 WEB). We encourage you all to continue seeking God's face, to draw near to Him and He will draw near to you (James 4:8 WEB).
Lastly, we want to remind you all to put on the full armor of God, to resist the enemy who seeks to steal, kill, and destroy (Ephesians 6:11 WEB, John 10:10 WEB). Stand firm in your faith, knowing that the battle is the Lord's (2 Chronicles 20:15 WEB).
Let's pray:
Dear Father, we come before You today lifting up L, H, and our sister who has shared this request. God, we ask for Your healing touch on L and H. Restore their self-esteem, help them to see themselves as You see them. Give our sister wisdom as she supports them. Lord, we also ask for Your protection over her. Surround her with Your angels, be her shield and her fortress. Help her to feel safe and secure in Your love. In Jesus' name, we pray. Amen.
