Prayers for Job I just applied for

Things have been horrible lately: my mother just died -- very suddenly --less than 2 weeks ago, my finances are a mess with no relief in sight (and the bills just keep stacking up), and my job is on the line (owner is looking to close shop). I feel like there is no escape from this avalanche of anxiety and stress that keeps piling on top of me.

I just submitted my application for what I can only describe as my dream job. I fear I am under-qualified, but I KNOW I could do the job, if given the chance. I won't bore anyone with a bunch of detail, but my career was derailed few years back (due to circumstances beyond my control), so my current resume is not as impressive as it once was and I fear that may impede my chances of passing the screening process for this position.

The long and short of it is that I am asking for prayers for this job. I feel as though any prayer I pray is largely ignored these days, so I am asking for others to assist me in my petition. This job could finally give me a chance to have a sense of purpose, not to mention the money would be helpful (it pays better than my current job). But it is not the money that calls me -- this job is within my dream field, so it would be a wish come true to finally feel as if I were living my life purpose.

I could really use a miracle and this could be it. I really need things to finally turn around for me.

Lord God, unite us with Jesus Christ, the risen and living One. Unite us so that our lives are completely submerged in your will through Jesus Christ. Tear us loose from all that tries to bind us to earth. Make us free people who always lift their heads and look up because their redemption is approaching. Almighty God, we trust in you, however difficult the times may be. Remember all peoples, for it is your will to gather them into your kingdom. You, O God, are our refuge and our help. Holy God and loving Father, I consciously place my fears, worries, anxieties, and burdens in your hands. I know that I have so little power to change the outcome of these events and I trust that you will work what is pleasing to you, and best for me, out of these situations. Forgive me for my anxious thoughts and for letting my own worry become an idol that robs you of my full trust. Strengthen and empower me to trust you more by the power and presence of your Spirit. In Jesus' name I pray. Amen
