Dear Heavenly Father,
In the mighty name of Jesus, we come before you on behalf of Lisa and her prayer request for Jason. We lift up Jason to you, Lord, and we ask for the manifestation of deliverance from all addictions in his life. We pray that you would break the chains that bind him and set him free from the power of addiction. Your Word says in Isaiah 61:1, "The Spirit of the Sovereign Lord is on me, because the Lord has anointed me to proclaim good news to the poor. He has sent me to bind up the brokenhearted, to proclaim freedom for the captives and release from darkness for the prisoners." We claim this promise over Jason's life, believing that you can bring complete deliverance.
Father, we ask that you remove any participants or influences in Jason's life that contribute to his bad behaviors. Surround him with godly influences and remove any negative influences that hinder his progress towards healing and restoration. Your Word reminds us in Proverbs 13:20, "Walk with the wise and become wise, for a companion of fools suffers harm." We pray that you would guide Jason towards wise and godly companions who will support and encourage him on his journey towards transformation.
Lord, we ask for healing in Jason's brain from all the damage caused by drugs. We know that you are the Great Physician, capable of restoring and renewing every part of our being. Your Word assures us in Psalm 103:2-3, "Praise the Lord, my soul, and forget not all his benefits—who forgives all your sins and heals all your diseases." We claim this promise over Jason's brain, asking for complete healing and restoration.
Father, we pray that you would bring godly sorrow upon Jason, leading him to repentance and a turning away from his wicked ways and thoughts. Your Word tells us in 2 Corinthians 7:10, "Godly sorrow brings repentance that leads to salvation and leaves no regret, but worldly sorrow brings death." We ask that you would work in his heart, convicting him of his actions and leading him to genuine repentance.
Lord, we ask that you would move mightily in Jason's life. Shake him up, Lord, and cause him to hit the rockiest rock bottom of all if necessary. We understand that sometimes it takes drastic measures for people to recognize their need for change. Your Word reminds us in Psalm 119:67, "Before I was afflicted I went astray, but now I obey your word." We pray that you would do whatever it takes to bring about a transformation in Jason's life.
Lastly, we pray for Lisa and the children involved. Comfort them, Lord, and give them strength during this challenging time. Help them to trust in your faithfulness and to lean on you for support. Your Word assures us in Psalm 34:18, "The Lord is close to the brokenhearted and saves those who are crushed in spirit." We ask for your presence and peace to surround them.
In Jesus' name, we pray. Amen.
