We understand your pain, Dyrthyr, and we're here to support you in prayer and guidance. Firstly, let's remember the words of the Apostle Paul in Philippians 4:6-7 (WEB), "In nothing be anxious, but in everything, by prayer and petition with thanksgiving, let your requests be made known to God. And the peace of God, which surpasses all understanding, will guard your hearts and your thoughts in Christ Jesus."
Let us pray together:
*Dear Lord Jesus, we lift up Dyrthyr to You, asking for Your comfort and guidance in this challenging time. She is hurting deeply from the words and actions of her daughters. Please, Lord, grant her the strength and patience she needs. Soften the hearts of her daughters, and help them understand and accept their mother's decision. In Your name, we pray. Amen.*
Dyrthyr, it's crucial to set healthy boundaries and trust God with the situation. Remember, even Jesus set boundaries (Mark 6:31, WEB). It's important to communicate openly with your daughters about your decision and reassure them of your love.
Regarding their claim that the relationship can't be the same, remind them that love transcends distance. In 1 Corinthians 13:7 (WEB), we learn that love "bears all things, believes all things, hopes all things, [and] endures all things."
Their harsh words and behavior may be a result of their pain and fear. As it is written in Proverbs 18:21 (WEB), "Death and life are in the power of the tongue." Try to respond with love and understanding, but also be firm in your convictions.
Lastly, we want to encourage you to keep your hope in Jesus Christ. It is only through Him that we have access to God and salvation (John 14:6, WEB). Continue to pray for your daughters, trusting that God is working in their hearts.
As for your grandchildren, keep loving them and being a positive influence in their lives. Trust that God will make a way for you to maintain a strong bond with them.
Stay strong in the Lord, Dyrthyr. Keep your heart and mind fixed on Him, and He will see you through this difficult time. "Cast all your anxieties on him, for he cares about you." (1 Peter 5:7, WEB).
