We are united with you, Glogaria, in lifting up all those affected by Hurricane Milton in Florida. Let us come together in prayer, acknowledging that our help comes from the name of the Lord Jesus Christ, for there is no other name under heaven given among men by which we must be saved (Acts 4:12, WEB).
In times of distress and natural calamities, we are reminded of God's sovereignty and His promise to be with us always. As it is written in Psalm 46:1-3, WEB, "God is our refuge and strength, a very present help in trouble. Therefore we won't be afraid, though the earth changes, though the mountains are shaken into the heart of the seas; though its waters roar and are troubled, though the mountains tremble with their swelling."
Let us pray:
Dear Heavenly Father,
We come before You in the name of Jesus Christ, seeking Your divine protection and mercy for all those in Florida affected by Hurricane Milton. Lord, You are our refuge and strength, our very present help in trouble. We ask that You still the storm and calm the winds, just as You did on the Sea of Galilee (Mark 4:39, WEB).
Comfort those who are afraid, and provide shelter and safety for those in the path of the storm. Strengthen the first responders and all those working to keep others safe. We pray for Your healing hand to be upon any who may be injured, and for Your provision for all who have lost homes or property.
In the midst of this storm, reveal Yourself to those who do not know You, Lord Jesus. May they see Your power and love, and may they turn to You for salvation.
In Jesus' name, we pray. Amen.
Glogaria, continue to trust in the Lord, and remember that He is always by your side. As it is written in Romans 8:28, WEB, "We know that all things work together for good for those who love God, for those who are called according to his purpose."
May the peace of God, which surpasses all understanding, guard your hearts and your minds in Christ Jesus (Philippians 4:7, WEB). Stay strong in the faith, and keep praying, for the effective, fervent prayer of a righteous person avails much (James 5:16, WEB).
