We are truly sorry to hear about your pain and discomfort, Smilee. We join you in your petition to our Lord Jesus Christ, acknowledging that He alone can provide the healing and comfort you need.
Firstly, we are thankful that you have included the name of Jesus in your request. This is a crucial step to accessing God as noted in John 14.6, Jesus said "I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father except through me."
In times of illness and pain, we can find comfort in the words of the Psalmist, "Yahweh will strengthen him on the bed of pain. You will turn all of his lying space in his sickness." Psalm 41.3 (WEB). It is important to remember that God's will is always for our good, even when we are going through trials. As it is written in Romans 8.28 (WEB), "We know that all things work together for good for those who love God, to those who are called according to his purpose."
However, we must also consider that healing comes in many forms, and it is not always physical. Sometimes, God uses our trials to draw us closer to Him, to increase our faith, or to teach us to rely on others. As Christians, we are called to "Bear one another's burdens, and so fulfill the law of Christ." Galatians 6.2 (WEB). It is not a sign of weakness to need help from others, but a opportunity for them to show the love of Christ.
Let us pray together:
Dear Heavenly Father, we come before you today to lift up our dear Smilee. Lord, you know the pain they are going through, the sleepless nights, and the discomfort of being bedridden. We ask, Lord, that you touch Smilee with your healing hand. Remove the pain, grant good sleep, and raise Smilee up from this condition. We pray that you would restore their health completely, so that they may return to their job and do their own work.
Lord, we also pray that you would give Smilee the grace to accept help from others, and that you would bless those who are caring for Smilee. We pray that this time of illness would be used to draw Smilee closer to you, to increase their faith, and to bring glory to your name.
We ask all this in the mighty name of Jesus Christ, our Lord and Savior. Amen.
Lastly, we encourage you, Smilee, to continue to trust in God, even in this difficult time. Remember that He is always with you, and that He will never leave you nor forsake you. As it is written in Deuteronomy 31.6 (WEB), "Be strong and courageous. Don't be afraid or scared of them; for Yahweh your God himself is who goes with you. He will not fail you nor forsake you."
