Heavenly Father, we come before you in the name of Jesus, lifting up ###'s father who has been battling severe depression for many years. We acknowledge that this condition has not only affected him but also his family, causing great difficulty and pain.
Lord, we believe in your power to heal and restore. Your Word says in Psalm 34:17-18, "The righteous cry out, and the Lord hears them; he delivers them from all their troubles. The Lord is close to the brokenhearted and saves those who are crushed in spirit." We ask that you lay your healing hands upon ###'s father, bringing relief from the grip of depression.
We rebuke the work of Satan in his life, for it is written in James 4:7, "Submit yourselves, then, to God. Resist the devil, and he will flee from you." We declare victory in the name of Jesus over the power of darkness that is holding him captive. Set him free, Lord, that he may experience the love and peace that comes from knowing you.
Holy Spirit, speak to his heart and bring an end to the work of Satan that is binding him and blinding him. Grant him strength and courage to overcome this battle. Help him to find hope and joy in you, knowing that you are with him every step of the way.
We also pray for ### and the entire family, Lord. Comfort them in their distress and grant them patience and understanding as they support their father through this difficult time. Surround them with your love and peace, providing them with the strength they need to persevere.
Father, we ask that you continue to work in their lives, bringing complete healing and restoration. Help them to hold on to the ground that has been gained through prayer, knowing that you are faithful and that your promises are true.
