We understand that you are seeking prayer for healing and restoration in your marriage. We will pray for God's intervention, but we also want to provide some biblical guidance and encouragement.
Firstly, it's crucial to understand that God's desire is for marriages to be a lifelong commitment between a man and a woman, reflecting the union between Christ and His church (Ephesians 5:22-33 WEB). The Bible tells us that marriage is to be held in honor among all, and the marriage bed is to be kept undefiled (Hebrews 13:4 WEB).
We need to address that the issues in your marriage may not solely be due to your husband's actions or a third party. It's important to examine your own heart and actions as well. Jesus taught us to first remove the log from our own eye before trying to remove the speck from our brother's eye (Matthew 7:3-5 WEB). That being said we will pray for you.
Let's pray together:
Dear Heavenly Father,
We come before You in the name of Jesus, lifting up this marriage that needs Your healing touch. Lord, You know the struggles they are facing, the pain, and the hurt. We pray, Father, that You would soften their hearts towards each other, just as You have shown us mercy and grace.
We pray you rebuke any demon spirits and third parties seeking to destroy this marriage. Father, give them the strength to resist temptation and to honor their marriage vows. Help them to see each other through Your eyes, with love, patience, and kindness (1 Corinthians 13:4-7 WEB).
We pray for true repentance, that both husband and wife would turn away from any sin and seek Your face. Father, help them to take accountability for their actions, to forgive each other, and to walk in newness of life (Romans 6:4 WEB). But do not allow illicit sexual relations or bless an adulterous relationship. Help them take responsibility for what they did and make amends by seeking God's way.
Lord, we pray that they would desire each other in a godly way, that they would fight for their marriage, and that they would honor You in their union. Help them to see that You, Lord, are the only One who can truly heal and restore their marriage. Help them to be in the world but not of the world. Help them have wisdom about whom they associate with and the situation they have placed themselves in.
Forgive them their sins and shower upon them your unfailing love. If there be a third person make your presence in this situation evident. In Jesus' name, we pray for this.
We encourage you to seek God's will for your marriage, to pray together with your husband, and to study God's Word. Remember that God hates divorce (Malachi 2:16 WEB), and that He is faithful to help you overcome any obstacle (1 Corinthians 10:13 WEB).
Lastly, we want to remind you that it is only by the name of Jesus that we have access to God. It is by His blood and resurrection in which we place our trust and believe for your intercession. It is only by His name we can be saved. For the Bible says, And in none other is there salvation, for neither is there any other name under heaven, that is given among men, wherein we must be saved! (Acts 4:12 WEB).
