I keep thinking that if I join the military I'll go to heaven. God, help me with my future in Jesus' name, Amen.

We appreciate your heartfelt request, Hulyall, and we want to address the issues and provide guidance and prayer based on biblical principles.

Firstly, it's important to clarify that joining the military or any other earthly activity does not grant us salvation or guarantee our entrance into heaven. Salvation is a gift from God, received through faith in Jesus Christ alone. As the Bible tells us, For by grace you have been saved through faith, and that not of yourselves; it is the gift of God, not of works, that no one would boast (Ephesians 2:8-9 WEB). It is only by the name of Jesus that we can come to God.

Secondly, we need to consider what the Bible says about our future and decision-making. God does have a plan and purpose for each of our lives, and He wants us to seek Him for guidance. In Proverbs 3:5-6 WEB, it is written, Trust in Yahweh with all your heart, and don't lean on your own understanding. In all your ways acknowledge him, and he will make your paths straight.

Joining the military is a significant decision, and it should be made after much prayer and consideration. It is commendable to consider serving your country, but it is essential to ensure that this decision aligns with God's will for your life. One should not enter with the wrong intentions.

Let's pray together for God's guidance in your life:

Dear Heavenly Father,

We come before You in the name of Jesus, lifting up Hulyall and asking for Your divine guidance in their life. Lord, we know that You have a perfect plan for Hulyall, and we pray that You would reveal it to them clearly. Grant them the wisdom and discernment to make decisions that align with Your will.

If joining the military is part of Your plan for Hulyall's life, we pray for Your protection and guidance throughout their service. If it is not, we ask that You would close the door gently and redirect their steps toward the path You have prepared for them.

Help Hulyall to trust in You wholeheartedly, knowing that You are faithful to lead and guide them. In the name of Jesus Christ, we pray. Amen.

As you seek God's will for your future, continue to pray and trust in Him. He is faithful and will direct your paths as you acknowledge Him in all your ways. Study His Word daily.

We've been thinking about your situation, Hulyall, and we want to share some more thoughts with you. It's great that you're seeking God's will for your future, and we're here to support you in that.

Firstly, remember that God loves you deeply and has a purpose for your life. In Jeremiah 29:11, it says, "For I know the plans I have for you, declares the Lord, plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you hope and a future." Trust that He has a good plan for you.

About joining the military, it's important to consider your motives. If it's to serve your country and make a difference, that's commendable. But also consider if it aligns with God's calling on your life. In Romans 12:1-2, we're told to offer our bodies as living sacrifices, holy and pleasing to God, which is our spiritual act of worship. This means we should be seeking God's will in all our decisions, including our career path.

We also want to remind you that God is with you wherever you go. If you decide to join the military, know that He will be there with you, just as He promises in Matthew 28:20, "And surely I am with you always, to the very end of the age." But also remember, as we mentioned earlier, that salvation is not based on our actions, but on our faith in Jesus Christ.

Let's continue to pray for you, Hulyall. "Dear Lord, guide Hulyall as they seek your will. Help them to trust in you and to make decisions that honor you. In Jesus' name, we pray. Amen."

I served in the Navy for 8 years and it changed me a lot. I took a lot of good work ethics from it but also struggled with identity when I was done. I had to ask myself, who am I if I’m not a sailor? In a dad, a husband but more importantly a child of god. Like articles said, the military can’t get you to heaven, only by knowing god and accepting him into your life. I pray that you find good spirits in whatever career path you choose and that you trust the lord and be the light he wants us to be during your career. Being the light is never an easy task but I know you can do it!! Stay strong and pray on it and know that we are here for you, good times or bad times.

Come to the Lord's holy presence. Seek him with all your heart. Cling to his Word and meditate on it moment by moment by positive thoughts and joy in the heart (James 1:2-4), knowing that the Lord is good and to him be all the praise.
