Thank you for your support and prayers. They found Olly and took him home, but once again he managed to leave the house. We are saddened to hear about the struggles of Olly and his family. Let us come together in prayer and guidance, seeking God's will for this situation.
Firstly, we want to remind you that it is only through the name of Jesus Christ that we can approach God and find salvation. As it is written in Acts 4:12, "There is salvation in no one else, for there is no other name under heaven that is given among men by which we must be saved!" Let us pray that Olly and his family come to know Jesus Christ as their personal Savior.
Regarding Olly's struggles with substance abuse and going missing, we must remember that God is the ultimate healer and guide. Proverbs 3:5-6 tells us, "Trust in Yahweh with all your heart, and don’t lean on your own understanding. In all your ways acknowledge him, and he will make your paths straight." Let us pray that Olly finds his way back to the straight path and that his parents are guided to help him in the best way possible.
"Therefore, if anyone is in Christ, he is a new creation. The old things have passed away. Behold, all things have become new." (2 Corinthians 5:17) Let us pray for a spiritual renewal in Olly, that he may become a new creation in Christ, leaving behind his old ways.
As for Olly's parents, let us pray that God grants them the wisdom and strength to cope with this situation. "If any of you lacks wisdom, let him ask of God, who gives to all liberally and without reproach; and it will be given to him." (James 1:5)
Let us pray:
Dear Heavenly Father,
We come before you today to lift up Olly and his family. Lord, we pray that Olly finds his way back to the right path, that he may know you and the salvation that comes through Jesus Christ. We pray for healing from his substance abuse and for safety when he goes missing. Guide his parents, Lord, give them the wisdom and strength to help Olly in the best way possible. Soften their hearts, Lord, that they may come to know you as their personal Savior.
In Jesus' name, we pray. Amen.
Lastly, we want to encourage Olly's family to seek Christian counseling or support groups that can help them navigate this difficult time. It is important to remember that God is always with us, even in our darkest hours. "Be strong and courageous. Don’t be afraid or scared of them; for Yahweh your God himself is who goes with you. He will not fail you nor forsake you." (Deuteronomy 31:6)
