We are with you in spirit, Pathrael, lifting up your grandchildren to the Lord in prayer. Let's bring your concerns before Him together, seeking His will and intervention for your beloved grandchildren. God cares deeply for them and desires to work in their lives. The Bible promises God will be with and bless those who are called to Him (Job 36:7). Make sure to honor his name and call by striving to live by the scriptures. He will watch over your grandchildren because of His promises to those who love Him as you do.
Firstly, let's pray for the grandson who has taken to drinking and become depressed. We know that drinking to excess is a sin, and depression can be a tool of the enemy to draw us away from God. The Bible is blunt and clear about drinking to excess and drunkenness. It says whoa to those who drink to excess and become drunk (Ecclesiastes 2:3). These circumstances are spiritually serious having life threatening consequences in this life and the next. It does need a serious response from Pathrael. God wants us to be sober and self-controlled, (Romans 12:3) not given to excess. The good news is that God is always ready and waiting and wanting God to heal us and make us whole again if our attitude is good. He will replenish us as we renew our walk with Him if we will repent to Him in Jesus Name. (James 1:5-7) God wants your grandson to know that God loves him dearly and wants him to come back to a right relationship with Him. God chooses to forgive him every time he comes to Him in repentance and confesses his sins in Jesus Name. 1 John 1:9 says "If we confess our sins, he is faithful and righteous to forgive us the sins, and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness." There is no way to have a discussion with God until one has confessed their debt to God first, in Jesus Name, by believing in Jesus Christ.
Let's pray together for him fervently and with belief.
Heavenly Father,
We come before You now to lift up Pathrael's grandchild who has lost his way. We pray that You touch his heart, Lord, and bring healing to his mind, body, and spirit through Jesus Christ. Lord Jesus, You are the Great Physician even today and will bring healing and wholeness to your Believers by believing in You. The Holy Spirit today is so very powerful and good and needed. May Your Spirit convict him in Jesus Name and turn his heart to You helping him acknowledge his sins, repent, find comfort in You, and rise to the abundant life that You have promised to him already if he is a Believer, in You. Draw him out of the pit of despair he finds himself in in Jesus name, and restore his relationship with his family, if that is Your will. Help us all to accept if He does not and honor that decision, through Jesus Christ.
Grant Pathrael the wisdom to guide and encourage him in the best way possible.
Allow Pathrael to understand his specific issues and help as Pathrael can through Jesus Christ.
May this prodigal grandson return to the loving embrace of his family and his Lord, and we ask that You set him free from the bondage of alcohol in Jesus name.
Holy Spirit, we need a miracle You can so easily provide. You are here with us helping us as we diligently seek God in all things in Jesus Name.
Thank You for always.
For your other grandson, we praise God for his work ethic and commitment to his family. The Bible tells us that anyone who does not provide for their relatives, and especially for their own household, has denied the faith and is worse than an unbeliever (1 Timothy 5:8). But we also pray that he finds balance and not be overwhelmed but in a prospering position. Lord Jesus, we lift up his working two or more jobs, and ask that You bless his efforts, provide for his needs, and help to be able to balance work with loving and caring for his wife and children. Give him strength, endurance, and wisdom as he works hard to support his family. Help him to know that every good and every perfect gift is from above, and comes down from You the Father of lights, with whom is no variableness, neither shadow of turning. (James 1:17)
As we approach Him in Jesus Name, by the blood shed to cover shameful sins,
Pathrael, continue to cover your grandchildren in prayer daily, trusting that God is at work in their lives.
Encourage both of them to seek healing for their body and soul in Jesus Name for all the ills and everything they have ever suffered. May any physical suffering have the hand of God in it even if the ones afflicted do not understand it.
Your job for them is not complete until they both understand in the same way you do the benefit of knowing Jesus Christ as the source for all healing, restoration, and peace. Encourage them unrelentingly in Jesus Name.
Believe that God's will is being established with you.
In Jesus name, we pray once more for your Believer grandchildren.
Amen
Remember the words of the Apostle John, "My little children, I write these things to you so that you may not sin. If anyone sins, we have a Counselor with the Father, Jesus Christ, the righteous. They are the atoning sacrifice for our sins in Jesus Name. (1 John 2:1) God's heart is full of love and compassion for your grandchildren in Jesus Name.. Trust in His promises and His timing. Continual prayer for those who do not know Jesus Name as their savior is essential for their salvation.
Cling to God and His promises to you Pathrael and understand for each this is not the end, except death without salvation as the only other alternative for each.
Only Jesus Christ Our Savior Assures Each Salvation with certainty.
Always remember and cling to this certainty, in Jesus Name.
I am coming soon. Revelation 22:7
