Dear Exaen,
We understand the pain and heartache you are going through, Kat. The end of a relationship can be incredibly difficult, but we want to encourage you and pray with you through this challenging time.
First, it is essential to remember that God's will is paramount in our lives. As it says in Romans 8:28 (WEB), "We know that all things work together for good for those who love God, for those who are called according to his purpose." God has a plan for your life, and trusting in Him is the most important thing you can do.
However, we must address the nature of your request. The Bible teaches us that our ultimate goal should be to seek God's will, not merely our own desires. In Matthew 6:33 (WEB), Jesus says, "But seek first God’s Kingdom and his righteousness; and all these things will be given to you as well." Our focus should be on growing in our relationship with God and becoming more like Christ.
Moreover, it is crucial to ensure that any relationship aligns with biblical principles. If your relationship with Mike was not leading towards a God-honoring marriage or if there were issues contrary to Scripture, it might not be God's will to reunite you. The Bible teaches us to flee from sexual immorality (1 Corinthians 6:18) and to be equally yoked with fellow believers (2 Corinthians 6:14).
We also noticed that your request does not mention the name of Jesus Christ. It is only through Jesus that we have access to God, as it says in John 14:6 (WEB), "Jesus said to him, 'I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father, except through me.'" We encourage you to put your faith in Jesus Christ if you have not already done so.
Let us pray for you:
"Heavenly Father, we come before You in the name of Jesus Christ, lifting up Kat. Lord, we ask that You comfort her heart and mend her brokenness. Help her to trust in You and seek Your will above all else. If it is Your will, Lord, we ask that You guide her and Mike back into a relationship that honors You, leading to a Godly marriage. But above all, Lord, help Kat to grow in her faith and relationship with You. In Jesus' name, we pray. Amen."
Stay strong in your faith, Kat. Trust in God, and He will direct your paths (Proverbs 3:5-6)
