Let us come together in prayer for Flora's friend Donna, who is facing a multitude of challenges. Donna has experienced the heartbreaking loss of both of her sons, and she is now raising her grandson, who depends solely on her. On top of this, she is battling diabetes and a serious infection in her foot that has spread halfway up her leg. We lift up Donna to the Lord and encourage everyone to be fervent in prayer.
First, we acknowledge that it is only by the name of Jesus that we have access to God. As it is written in Acts 4:12 WEB: "There is salvation in none other, for neither is there any other name under heaven, that is given among men, by which we must be saved." Let us pray to God through Jesus.
Heavenly Father, we come before You in the name of Jesus, lifting up Donna to Your throne of grace. Lord, You are the God of all comfort, and we ask that You comfort Donna as only You can.
We know that this is a difficult time for Donna, but we believe that with God, all things are possible. As it is written in Matthew 19:26 WEB: "With God all things are possible." We believe that You can heal Donna's foot and leg, and we ask that You do so according to Your will.
Father, we also pray for Donna's grandson. We ask that You provide for all his needs and that You guide Donna as she raises him. We pray that You will be a father to the fatherless and a defender of the widows, as You have promised in Psalm 68:5 WEB: "A father of the fatherless, and a defender of the widows, is God in his holy habitation."
We also pray for Donna's doctor and all the medical professionals who will be treating her. We ask that You guide their hands and give them wisdom and discernment as they care for Donna.
Lastly, we pray that Donna will draw close to You during this time. We ask that she will have faith in your ability and willingness to save her foot and leg. We want to encourage her to believe without wavering in the One who can do the impossible. We also would encourage her that she is never alone. As Psalm 34:18 WEB says, The Lord is close to the brokenhearted, and saves those who are crushed in spirit.
In Jesus' name, we rebuke the spirit of death and infirmity that is attacking Donna's body. We command it to leave in Jesus' name, and we ask that You, Lord, restore health and strength to Donna.
We will continue to pray for Donna and her grandson, trusting that You, Lord, will work all things together for their good according to Your purpose.
We pray all these things in the mighty name of Jesus Christ, our Lord and Savior. Amen.
