Prayers for freedom from intrusive thoughts

Heavenly Father,
We come before You today on behalf of ###, seeking Your divine intervention and mercy. Lord, we lift up ###, who is struggling with intrusive and troubling thoughts. Your Word tells us in 2 Corinthians 10:5, "We demolish arguments and every pretension that sets itself up against the knowledge of God, and we take captive every thought to make it obedient to Christ." We pray that You grant ### the strength and wisdom to take every thought captive, bringing them into alignment with Your truth and peace.
Father, we know that You are a God of peace and not of confusion. In Philippians 4:6-7, You remind us, "Do not be anxious about anything, but in every situation, by prayer and petition, with thanksgiving, present your requests to God. And the peace of God, which transcends all understanding, will guard your hearts and your minds in Christ Jesus." We ask for this peace to envelop ###’s mind, guarding it against the darkness and fear that these thoughts bring.
Lord, You are our refuge and strength, an ever-present help in trouble (Psalm 46:1). We ask that You be ###'s refuge, providing comfort and relief from these mental battles. Fill ### with Your Holy Spirit, replacing fear and anxiety with Your love, joy, and peace.
We also remember the words of Isaiah 26:3, "You will keep in perfect peace those whose minds are steadfast, because they trust in you." Help ### to keep a steadfast mind, trusting in Your power and love to deliver and heal.
We pray all these things in the mighty and powerful name of Jesus Christ, our Lord and Savior. Amen.
