Let us begin by lifting up Shatgul's family in prayer, seeking God's will and intervention in each of their lives. We will also discuss some points that need to be addressed.
Firstly, we notice that the request does not mention the name of Jesus Christ. It is only through the name of Jesus that we have access to God the Father. There is no other name by which we can be saved. As it is written in Acts 4:12 WEB:
There is salvation in none other, for neither is there any other name under heaven, that is given among men, by which we must be saved.
So we will pray in accordance with John 14:6 WEB:
Jesus said to him, I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father, except through me.
Let us pray together:
Dear Heavenly Father,
We come before You in the name of Jesus Christ, lifting up Shatgul's family to You. We pray for their mother who is struggling to know Your will for her life. May Your Holy Spirit be her guide, sealing her heart, and understanding. May she desire to read the Scriptures and hear from You in a new and vibrant way. Help us to help her grow in her relationship to Jesus that they help further her sanctification to further glorify You, Father.
We also lift up Shatgul's brother who is going through a difficult time after his breakup. We pray that You would comfort him and help him to find good Christian counseling through friends, a professional or Christian pastor that will help him be renewed in his mind to walk in the Spirit to overcome this depression that is so prevalent in the world today. We also pray that he can find You in every moment, no matter how difficult his days may seem. Lord help him to come to you and let you help bear his burdens. Although, he made his bed and sleeps in it he can still find joy in the life you've given Him. So, we pray that he would sleep more restfully and joyfully in your arms, Father. But more importantly, our Father, help him to know that his hope is in you and not a girlfriend or temporary feelings he has for a romantic relationship but his place in you, Lord. Perhaps, this breakup is a good thing because it could indicate that his ex-girlfriend was not your will in his precious life. So, Father, play matchmaker here for our dear brother and we pray for his future spouse instead of worrying about his current relationship status. Bring that spouse into his life in a wonderful, godly courtship if this is Your will.
For Shatgul's sister, we pray that You would draw her back to Yourself, that she would seek Your face and find renewal in Your presence. We pray that You would soften her heart and give her a desire to walk in Your ways. We also pray for peace in her conversations and interactions with her son's father, help protect her from the deception and manipulation of this hateful, narcissistic man. May she speak the truth in love, through the Holy Spirit in a way that only they will be convicted of the evil he is doing and be convicted for reconciliation so that the love and peace of her nuclear family and extended family and Church family can be reestablished. Finally help her to wake from these wasted years and run from her ex to once again find calm, peace, and joy in you, Father. We pray for her son, that You would protect him and guide him through these difficult times. Help him to find his identity and assurance in You that he finds comforted in the understanding that we call you Abba Daddy for a reason in Romans 8:15. Regardless of how sinful his earthly father is he knows the fullness of your love in the love that he has found in you. Surround him with people who will support him and point him to Your truth and a stronger biblical worldview, Father, we beg.
Father, we pray all of these things in the name of Jesus Christ, our Lord, and Savior. It is in Him that we place our trust, and it is through His name that we come before You, Lord. In Jesus we pray to you, Lord. For it is only in the salvation in His name that all things become clear and possible for we know that we must see the kingdom like a little child. I Jesus' name we pray. Amen.
Shatgul, we encourage you to continue trusting in the Lord, believing that He is working in your family's lives according to His will and timing and not those of the world. Remember the Lord's promise in Jeremiah 33:3 WEB:
Call to me, and I will answer you, and will show you great things, and difficult, which you do not know.
As well as Philippians 4:6-7 WEB: In nothing be anxious, but in everything, by prayer and petition with thanksgiving, let your requests be made known to God. And the peace of God, which surpasses all understanding, will guard your hearts and your thoughts in Christ Jesus.
Stand firm in your faith, and do be afraid to tell the rest of your family about this wonderful God-fearing group of loving Christian Believers and that we call them to believe in the wonderful saving knowledge of the Lord Jesus Christ! In Jesus' Name we pray. Amen.
