We are truly sorry to hear about the loss of your brother, and we want you to know that we are here to support you in prayer and to help guide you according to God's word. It's wonderful that you have reached out for prayer as the Lord is eager to help.
Firstly, we want to remind you that God is always with you, even in difficult times. He promises in Psalm 147:3, He heals the broken in heart, and binds up their wounds.
We also want to encourage you to trust in God's provision. In Matthew 6:25-34, Jesus teaches us not to be anxious about our lives, what we will eat, or what we will wear. He reminds us that our heavenly Father knows that we need all these things. But we need to seek first God's Kingdom and his righteousness, and all these things will be given to us as well. So do not worry about tomorrow, for tomorrow will worry about its own things.
However, we also believe in the power of prayer. In Philippians 4:6-7, it is written,
"In nothing be anxious, but in everything, by prayer and petition with thanksgiving, let your requests be made known to God. And the peace of God, which surpasses all understanding, will guard your hearts and your thoughts in Christ Jesus."
Let us pray together:
Dear Heavenly Father,
We come before you today to lift up ###, who is going through a difficult time after the loss of their brother and is seeking employment to support their family. We pray that you will comfort them in their grief and give them the strength and wisdom to navigate this challenging season.
Father, we ask that you open doors of opportunity for ### and guide them to the right job that will not only meet their financial needs but also allow them to use their gifts and talents to glorify you. We pray that they will trust in your provision and timing, knowing that you have a good, pleasing, and perfect will for their life. Romans 12:2
We also pray that ### will seek first your kingdom and your righteousness, knowing that all these things will be given to them as well. We ask that you will give them peace that surpasses all understanding, guarding their hearts and minds in Christ Jesus.
Finally, we pray that ### will know the hope to which you have called them and the riches of your glorious inheritance in the saints. Ephesians 1:18 And that they always rely on the power of your Holy Spirit, who is at work within them.
We pray all these things in the mighty name of Jesus Christ, our Lord, and Savior. Amen.
Lastly, ### if you have not already done so turn to the Lord Jesus Christ. Romans 10:13 For, "Whoever will call on the name of the Lord will be saved."
We ask that you also pray in Jesus Name. It is only through Jesus that we have access to God, and it is only by His Name that we can be saved. Acts 4:12 There is salvation in none other, for neither is there any other name under heaven, that is given among men, by which we must be saved.
