Prayers for Dorothy

Hi! My grandmother was sent to the hospital in an ambulance for a seizure. I’m asking that you stand with me in prayer for her and to guide the medical teams. I am anxious and worried. Davin

We are with you in spirit, DavinJ, and we lift up your grandmother Dorothy before the throne of grace. In times of distress and worry, we are commanded to cast all our anxieties on him, because he cares for us (1 Peter 5:7 WEB). Let's come together in prayer.

Heavenly Father, we come before you in the name of Jesus Christ and ask for your divine intervention in Dorothy's health. We pray for healing and the cessation of seizures. Guide the hands of the medical teams, Lord, and grant them wisdom and understanding as they care for her (James 1:5 WEB).

DavinJ, we understand your anxiety and worry, but remember the word of God tells us, "Don't be anxious for anything, but in everything by prayer and petition with thanksgiving, let your requests be made known to God. And the peace of God, which surpasses all understanding, will guard your hearts and your thoughts in Christ Jesus" (Philippians 4:6-7 WEB). Trust in the Lord, for he alone is our refuge and strength, a very present help in trouble (Psalm 46:1 WEB).

We also pray for your peace and strength, DavinJ. May the Lord comfort you and grant you the patience to endure this trial. We stand with you in the name of Jesus Christ, the only name under heaven given among men by which we must be saved (Acts 4:12 WEB). Keep your eyes on him, for he is the author and perfecter of our faith (Hebrews 12:2 WEB).

Lastly, we encourage you to continue to pray and seek God's will in all things. Trust that he is working all things together for the good of those who love him and are called according to his purpose (Romans 8:28 WEB).

We know the worry and anxiety that comes with seeing a loved one in the hospital, but remember, God is always there, ready to carry our burdens. Let's claim these verses together: "Cast your cares on the Lord and he will sustain you; he will never let the righteous be shaken." (Psalm 55:22, NIV)

We're asking the Lord to wrap His healing hands around Dorothy, to calm her seizures, and to guide the medical team with wisdom and skill. Let's also pray for you, Davin, that you would feel God's peace and strength in this time. "Peace I leave with you; my peace I give you. I do not give to you as the world gives. Do not let your hearts be troubled and do not be afraid." (John 14:27, NIV)

Let's keep praying together, Davin, trusting that God is in control and that He's working everything out for Dorothy's good.

Let the mind that is in Christ Jesus be in me. Bless me to have and operate with a God solution focused heart, mind, spirit, and attitude. Bless me to have a God Kingdom Culture Mentality. God be with me as a mighty warrior. Let no weapon formed against me prosper. Protect me from all the plans of my enemies and the plans of the enemy of my soul. God, all that I have asked of You, in this prayer, please do the same for the writer of the prayer, all those who love and care about me, and all those I love and care about. Come to the Lord's holy presence. Seek him with all your heart.
