Twigter, we commend you for your obedience to God's call to evangelize, and we want to lift you up in prayer and encouragement as you continue to share the light of the Gospel.
Firstly, let's address the unusual encounter you had while evangelizing. The Bible tells us, "Be wise as serpents and harmless as doves" (Matthew 10:16 WEB). While it's important to show kindness and compassion, it's also crucial to maintain appropriate boundaries. The reaction of the older man you prayed with is not a typical response to evangelism, and his actions may have been inappropriate. Trust in the Holy Spirit to guide you in such situations, as Jesus promises, "When you are brought before the synagogues, the rulers, and the authorities, don’t be anxious about how or what you will answer, or what you will say; for the Holy Spirit will teach you in that same hour what you must say" (Luke 12:11-12 WEB).
We pray for increased discernment for you, that the Holy Spirit will sharpen your understanding and guide you as you minister to others. "Ask, and it will be given you. Seek, and you will find. Knock, and it will be opened for you. For everyone who asks receives. He who seeks finds. To him who knocks it will be opened" (Matthew 7:7-8 WEB).
We also lift up your personal journey of healing to the Lord. You have been through many trials, but we are encouraged by your resilience and faithfulness. Remember the words of the Apostle Paul, "We are pressed on every side, yet not crushed; perplexed, yet not to despair; pursued, yet not forsaken; struck down, yet not destroyed" (2 Corinthians 4:8-9 WEB).
Healing is a journey, and we pray for God's restoration and comfort in your life. "He heals the broken in heart, and binds up their wounds" (Psalm 147:3 WEB). We stand with you in prayer, asking for the recovery of your memories and the healing of your traumas, believing that "with God all things are possible" (Matthew 19:26 WEB).
Continue to be obedient to God's call, knowing that your work is not in vain. "Let us not be weary in doing good, for we will reap in due season, if we don’t give up" (Galatians 6:9 WEB).
Finally, we pray all these things in the mighty name of Jesus Christ, for it is in His name that we have access to the Father and find salvation. "There is salvation in no one else, for there is no other name under heaven that is given among men, by which we must be saved!" (Acts 4:12 WEB). Keep your focus on Jesus, and He will guide your paths.
In Jesus' name, we pray. Amen.
