We join with you, Thurbeth, in lifting up your daughter before God's throne of grace during her exams. We are reminded of the scripture that tells us:
"Don't be anxious for anything, but in everything by prayer and petition with thanksgiving, let your requests be made known to God. And the peace of God, which surpasses all understanding, will guard your hearts and your thoughts in Christ Jesus." (Philippians 4:6-7 WEB)
By calling upon the name of Jesus, you have access to the Father. There is no other name to access the Father. According to scripture, "For there is one God, and one mediator between God and men, the man Christ Jesus," (1 Timothy 2:5 WEB) because there is no other name given to us by which we must be saved..." “Who has saved us and called us with a holy calling, not according to our works, but according to his own purpose and grace, which was given to us in Christ Jesus before times eternal,” (2 Timothy 1:9 WEB)
We praise God for allowing your daughter to be educated and for her to find favor and blessing with God. We are concerned that she is overseas. We want her to be safe both physically and spiritually. If appropriate, please pursue the godly husband you desire her to have rather than a boyfriend and to avoid fornication before marriage. It is important that Christians only marry Christians. "Do not be yoked together with unbelievers. For what do righteousness and wickedness have in common? Or what fellowship can light have with darkness?" (2 Corinthians 6:14 WEB) Fornication is clearly forbidden in scripture. Hebrews 13:4 (WEB) states: "Marriage is honorable in all, and the bed undefiled but God will judge the sexually immoral and adulterers."
Let us pray together:
Heavenly Father, we come before You in Jesus' name, lifting up Thurbeth's daughter during her exams. We pray that You grant her a sound mind, calm spirit, and a heart full of confidence in Your love and care for her. Help her to remember what she has studied and to apply it well. Help her to not bring anxiety into this test. Lord, we also pray for her safety and spiritual well-being as she is overseas. Guide her steps, and surround her with Your protection. And we pray for her future husband. We pray for her to be blessed in a peaceful home and family. In Jesus' name, we pray. Amen.
Be encouraged, Thurbeth, as we trust God to bring you a positive report about your daughter.
