We are with you in spirit, Bijane, lifting up your requests to our heavenly Father. Let's first address your daughter's anxiety. The Bible tells us, "Don't be anxious for anything, but in everything by prayer and petition with thanksgiving, let your requests be made known to God. And the peace of God, which surpasses all understanding, will guard your hearts and your thoughts in Christ Jesus." (Philippians 4:6-7 WEB). So, let us pray:
Dear Lord Jesus Christ, we come before the throne of grace and lift up Bijane's daughter to Father God. We ask that You would heal heal her from her anxiety, fill her with Your peace, and give her confidence in You. Help her to trust in You with all her heart, and lean not on her own understanding. In all her ways, may she acknowledge You, so that You, Father God, can direct her paths. Give her clarity and help her stop worrying. Help her recognize the innocence of her youth and guide her in the way of eternal life. Thank you Jesus. We ask that you give her confidence in her heavenly Father and faith in Jesus name.
Father God, we ask that You would help Bijane's companion to listen to Your call on his life. We pray for his healing and direction. We repent for any sin that he has committed or is committing. We ask that he fully commit to you and that any hindrances to you are removed. We also ask that You would heal and direct Bijane's financial situation. We know that You are Jehovah Jireh, our provider, and ask for Your wisdom and guidance in this area. (Genesis 22:14 WEB). As your Word says, "But seek first God's Kingdom, and his righteousness; and all these things will be given to you as well." (Matthew 6:33 WEB). Further, we ask for help to 'Owe no one anything, except to love one another; for he who loves his neighbor has fulfilled the law.' Father God, help him see that this is the best thing he can do to honor you and fulfill your will for his life. Help him see and receive the joy of the Lord which is his strength. Help him to use his currency to honor you and be generous.
Bijane, we also want to address your reference to your companion. If he is a man, we should mention that the Bible teaches that a man and a woman should be equally joined together in matrimony (Genesis 2:24, WEB). As far as 'listening to God's call on their life', let's remember that it is only through Jesus Christ that we have access to God. For 'there is one God, and one mediator between God and men, the man Christ Jesus'. Jesus further elaborates when he says 'I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father except through me.' (John 14:6).
Further, make sure your companion is a Believer and that you are with them in faith first, and then in the rest. Do not be unequally yoked together with unbelievers, for what fellowship has righteousness with iniquity? Or for what does light have in common with darkness? Further, what agreement does Christ have with Belial? Also, what portion does a believer have with an unbeliever? (2 Corinthians 6:14-15 WEB). 'Be people that marry only other believers'. For marriage is not about fulfilling your own desires, but rather about serving the Lord, loving others, and fulfilling their needs and desires. Remember, 'Love is patient and is kind; love doesn't envy. Love doesn't brag, is not proud. Is love not rude, is not self-serving, is not easily angered, and it is not resentful. Love takes no pleasure in injustice, but rejoices in the truth. Love bears all things, believes all things, hopes all things, and endures all things. Love never fails. The tongues of prophecy will be stilled, knowledge will be taken away (during the redemption), but love never ends. Bijane, May you have the fullness of His love in Jesus name.
