We understand your concern for your daughter and her relationship, but we must first and foremost align our prayers and advice with biblical principles. The Bible teaches us that God's design for relationships is holy and pure, ultimately leading to a lifelong commitment in marriage between a man and a woman.
Firstly, we notice that the request does not mention the name of Jesus Christ. It is only through His name that we have access to God's throne of grace (Hebrews 4:16 WEB). "In whom we have boldness and access in confidence through our faith in him." (Ephesians 3:12 WEB). We should always approach God in Jesus' name, as He is our mediator and savior.
Now, addressing your daughter's situation, we must consider that God's will is for us to be equally yoked with fellow believers (2 Corinthians 6:14 WEB). Therefore, our prayer is that your daughter seeks God's will for her life and enters into a relationship that honors Him. We should not merely pray for them to stay together, but rather for God's perfect will to be done in their lives.
We pray:
Dear Heavenly Father,
We come before You today in the name of Jesus Christ, lifting up Katargotos' daughter and her former boyfriend to You. Lord, we ask that You reveal Your will for their lives. Guide them in Your truth and help them to make decisions that honor and glorify You.
Grant Katargotos' daughter the strength to forgive, just as You have forgiven us (Ephesians 4:32 WEB). Help her to discern what she truly needs in a relationship, and whether this young man is the godly spouse You have intended for her. Lord, if it is Your will for them to remain together, we pray that You would help them grow in love, patience, and kindness, bearing with one another and forgiving each other's faults (Colossians 3:12-14 WEB).
However, if this relationship is not in accordance with Your will, we pray that You would give Katargotos' daughter the courage to move on and trust in Your plan for her life. Help her to remember that You love her deeply and have the best intentions for her (Jeremiah 29:11 WEB).
In all things, Lord, help them to pursue purity and holiness, fleeing from sexual immorality (1 Corinthians 6:18 WEB). Enable them to honor one another and You in their thoughts, words, and actions.
In Jesus' name, we pray. Amen.
Katargotos, we encourage you to support your daughter in seeking God's will for her life. Remind her that God's ways are higher than our ways (Isaiah 55:8-9 WEB), and His plans are always good. Trust in Him, and He will direct her paths (Proverbs 3:5-6 WEB).
