We understand your struggle and commend you for your desire to bring your struggles to light. We are reminded in James 5:16 (WEB), "Confess your trespasses to one another, and pray for one another, that you may be healed. The insistent prayer of a righteous person is powerfully effective."
First, let us address the issue of pornography. Pornography is a sin against your own body and against God, as it warps the divine gift of sexuality (1 Corinthians 6:18-20). We must flee from sexual immorality and honor God with our bodies. Remember, "Whatever is hidden will be revealed, and whatever is secret will be brought into the open" (Luke 8:17).
It is crucial that you find the courage to confess this sin to your family, especially your sister and mother, with whom you are closest. The Lord is with you, and He will give you the strength to overcome this addiction. Isaiah 41:10 (WEB) says, "Don’t be afraid, for I am with you. Don’t be dismayed, for I am your God. I will strengthen you. Yes, I will help you. Yes, I will uphold you with the right hand of my righteousness."
As you transition into university life, remember that God is always with you. He promises in Hebrews 13:5 (WEB), "For he has said, 'I will in no way leave you, neither will I in any way forsake you.'"
Let us pray together:
Dear Heavenly Father, we come before You in Jesus' name, lifting up our sister who is struggling with a pornography addiction. Lord, we ask for Your forgiveness and healing. Please grant her the courage and strength to confess her struggles to her family, and give them the wisdom and grace to support her in love. Guide her as she moves into this new phase of her life at university. Keep her close to You and protect her from temptation. May Your will be done in her life, in Jesus' name, we pray. Amen.
Remember, it is only through Jesus Christ that we have access to God (John 14:6). Stay rooted in Him, and He will see you through these challenges. We encourage you to continue seeking God, praying, and reading His Word. May the Lord bless you and keep you.
