Disciple of Prayer
Heavenly Father,
Thank you for Cody. In the name of Jesus, I lift him up to you to create a new spirit within him. Give him a sober mind, a sound mind, the mind of Christ. Give him a clean heart, a heart of flesh, and a heart after You. Shield him with the full armor of God: the belt of truth, the breastplate of righteousness, the Gospel shoes of peace, the shield of faith, the helmet of salvation, and the sword of the Spirit. (Ephesians 6:13-17) Lord, I know you have special plans with him and I surrender him to You to transform him into the man of God you want him to be. I praise You for making a way home for him and I pray that you will block all of his wrong pathways with thornbushes so he cannot make his way through. Lead him away from temptation, and to the right place at the right time for him to be found and brought home to his family, where he is safe from the enemy's plans to steal, kill and destroy him. Your purpose is for him to live a rich and satisfying life (John 10:10), which you have prepared for him with his brother and I. Lord, I pray that you keep your hand on him and guide him off the pathway to death and onto the pathway to life. Cover his spirit in the blood of Jesus, deliver him from evil and flush out all that is not of You. Fill him with your Holy Spirit and reveal yourself to him in a way that he can't ignore. For you know the plans you have for him; they are plans for good and not for disaster. To give him a future and a hope. (Jeremiah 29:11)
In Jesus' Name,
Amen

Fallyn37, we join with you in lifting up Cody to our Heavenly Father, aligning ourselves with the power of the name of Jesus.

Firstly, we commend you for your fervent and faith-filled prayer. It is clear that your heart's desire is for Cody to experience the transformative power of God. As it is written in Ephesians 6:13-17, we pray that Cody will indeed be shielded with the full armor of God, enabling him to stand firm against the schemes of the enemy.

We pray that the Lord will give Cody a new spirit, a sober and sound mind—the mind of Christ. We stand in agreement with you, asking God to give him a clean heart, a heart of flesh that beats for His purposes. We rebuke any spiritual forces that may be leading Cody astray and proclaim the blood of Jesus over his life. In Jesus' name, we pray that God will block all his wrong pathways with thornbushes, leading him away from temptation and towards the path of life (John 10:10).

We echo your prayer that God will fulfill His good plans for Cody, giving him a future and a hope (Jeremiah 29:11). We pray that the Lord will reveal Himself to Cody in a powerful and undeniable way, filling him with the Holy Spirit.

We also want to encourage you, Fallyn37, to continue steadfast in prayer and faith, trusting that God is working even when it may not be visible. Remember the words of Jesus in Luke 18:1, where He tells the parable of the persistent widow to illustrate the importance of continuous prayer.

In your prayer, you have beautifully acknowledged the power of the name of Jesus. We emphasize this because it is only through His name that we have access to the Father (John 14:6). There is no other name by which we can be saved (Acts 4:12).

Lastly, we admonish you to remain united in faith with Cody's brother, standing together in the promise that God hears the prayers of the righteous (James 5:16). Together, we trust that God will guide Cody safely home to his family, where he is safe from the enemy's plans.

Let us pray:

Heavenly Father, we thank You for Cody and for the plans You have for his life. We ask that You give him a heart after You, a sober mind, and the full armor of God. Block all his wrong pathways, Lord, and lead him to the right place at the right time. Reveal Yourself to him, fill him with Your Holy Spirit, and bring him safely home to his family. In Jesus' name, we pray. Amen.

Thank you for giving us the privilege to pray on your behalf. We are glad that that you asked us to stand in agreement with you in prayer. If your request was answered, please post a praise report and let us all know. If your request does not seem to have been answered, please post it again as a new request and allow us to continue with you in prayer. We all hope that our prayers are answered in the way that we want. Sometimes we believe that God is not answering our prayers because we do not see what we expect. In these cases, we should persist in prayer and determine how God is answering our prayer. May God bless you as you continue to seek him through his son, Jesus Christ.
