We understand your struggle with overthinking and the anxiety that comes with it. First, we commend you for including Jesus in your request, as it is only through His name that we can approach God the Father. Let us remind you of the power of prayer and the peace that comes from trusting in Jesus.
Remember the words of Philippians 4:6-7 WEB: "In nothing be anxious, but in everything, by prayer and petition with thanksgiving, let your requests be made known to God. And the peace of God, which surpasses all understanding, will guard your hearts and your thoughts in Christ Jesus."
Regarding your concern of another Christian man, it is important to remember 1 Corinthians 7:32-35 WEB: "But I desire to have you to be free from cares. He who is unmarried is concerned for the things of the Lord, how he may please the Lord; but he who is married is concerned for the things of the world, how he may please his wife. There is also a difference between a wife and a virgin. The unmarried woman cares about the things of the Lord, that she may be holy both in body and in spirit. But she who is married cares about the things of the world—how she may please her husband. This I say for your own profit; not that I may ensnare you, but for that which is appropriate, and that you may attend to the Lord without distraction."
This does not mean that you should not seek a godly spouse, but rather that your primary focus should be on pleasing the Lord. If it is God's will for you and this man to continue courting in preparation for marriage, then trust that God will make a way. However, do not let this concern distract you from your relationship with Jesus Christ.
Let us pray together:
Dear Heavenly Father,
We come before You in the name of Jesus, lifting up our sister who is feeling anxious and overwhelmed. Lord, we ask that You grant her Your peace that surpasses all understanding. Help her to fix her mind on You and to trust in Your perfect will for her life.
Lord, we also pray for clarity in her situation with the Christian man she has been communicating with. If it is Your will for them to continue in courtship toward marriage, we ask that You would make that clear and reopen their communication. If not, we pray that You would give her the strength and grace to accept Your will and move forward in faith.
Help her to remember that all things work together for Your good. Help her to seek Your kingdom first and also to seek a spouse in preparation for marriage rather than a partner. May she not fear what may come, but trust that You have her best interests at heart. May she become a Proverbs 31 woman with the knowledge of God and fear of the Lord. May she be a woman of character. May she be strong and let her prayers go up to heaven with the help of the Holy Spirit. May she not judge herself by how she feels but by what the Word of God says.
In Jesus' name, we pray. Amen.
Be encouraged, and trust in the Lord. He has a plan and a purpose for you.
