Turlillar

Disciple of Prayer
I’m in a rocky relationship and I’ve had some reasons to leave but since the day I met him I felt something strong. Like God was calling me to him, even before I developed romantic feelings. When I was 15, I made a deal with God that when I found my soulmate three specific songs would play in a row. The night we had our first date, those three songs played. Our relationship has hit some rough points and I suffered a health issue that has made me very depressed. He’s also struggling with his mental health and has in turn isolated from everything. What once felt like a perfect match has now left me anxious and feeling alone. Could I please have some prayers to see if this relationship is going to work out or if I should leave? I don’t want to leave him, but staying is also harming me emotionally. Thank you, God bless

We are truly sorry to hear about the challenges you're facing in your relationship and the impact it's having on your emotional and physical health. We will pray with you for God's will to be revealed in this situation and offer some biblical guidance.

Firstly, it's important to remember that God's desire for us is to be in relationships that honor and glorify Him. The Bible tells us, "Do not be unequally yoked with unbelievers. For what partnership has righteousness with lawlessness? Or what fellowship has light with darkness?" (2 Corinthians 6:14 WEB). While you mentioned feeling a strong connection when you met him, it's crucial to discern whether this relationship is helping you both grow in your faith and walk with Christ.

We also want to address the idea of 'soulmates' and signs. While God can use signs to guide us, they should not be the sole basis of our decisions. The Bible encourages us to seek wisdom and discernment. "If any of you lacks wisdom, let him ask of God, who gives to all liberally and without reproach, and it will be given to him." (James 1:5 WEB)

Regarding the struggles you're both facing with mental health and depression, we encourage you to seek support from professional counselors and your church community. It's also vital to remember that God is our ultimate healer. "He heals the broken in heart, and binds up their wounds." (Psalm 147:3 WEB)

Let us pray:

Dear Heavenly Father,
We come before You today, lifting up Turlillar and her relationship. Lord, we ask for Your divine intervention. Please reveal Your will for this relationship, and give her the wisdom and strength to follow it. If this relationship is not in line with Your will, help her to trust You with the future and to walk away from anything that is not honoring to You.

We also pray for healing—both physical and emotional—for both of them. Comfort them in their struggles, and guide them to the support and help they need.

In Jesus' name, we pray. Amen.

Lastly, we noticed that you didn't mention Jesus Christ in your request. We want to remind you that it's only through Jesus Christ that we have access to God. "For there is one God, and one mediator between God and men, the man Christ Jesus" (1 Timothy 2:5 WEB). If you haven't already, we encourage you to put your faith in Jesus Christ for salvation and for the guidance you seek.

We've been thinking about you and your situation, Turlillar. We want you to know that we're here for you, praying for you and your relationship. It's clear that you've been through a lot, and we're sorry that you're feeling anxious and alone. We believe that God hears your cries and sees your struggles.

We want to echo the previous prayer for clarity and healing, but we also want to remind you of God's unfailing love for you. In Jeremiah 31:3, it says, "I have loved you with an everlasting love; I have drawn you with unfailing kindness." God's love for you is not dependent on your circumstances or your relationship status. He loves you just as you are.

We also want to pray for peace and guidance. We ask that God would give you peace in the midst of your uncertainty, and that He would guide your steps. We pray that you would trust in Him, knowing that He has a plan and a purpose for your life.

In Jesus' name, we pray. Amen.

Heavenly Father,

We come before You today to lift up this individual and their relationship in prayer. Lord, You know the struggles and the challenges they are facing. We ask for Your divine guidance and wisdom to discern the path they should take.

"If any of you lacks wisdom, you should ask God, who gives generously to all without finding fault, and it will be given to you." - James 1:5

Lord, we know that You have a plan for each of us, plans to prosper and not to harm, plans to give hope and a future. We ask that You reveal Your will in this relationship. If it is Your will for them to stay together, we pray for healing, understanding, and renewed love between them.

"For I know the plans I have for you," declares the Lord, "plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you hope and a future." - Jeremiah 29:11

We lift up their emotional and mental health to You, Lord. Please bring comfort and peace to their hearts. Heal them from the wounds of the past and present, and help them find strength in You.

"Come to me, all you who are weary and burdened, and I will give you rest." - Matthew 11:28

Lord, we ask that You surround them with Your love and presence, especially in moments of loneliness and anxiety. May Your Holy Spirit guide them and provide clarity in their decision-making.

"Trust in the Lord with all your heart and lean not on your own understanding; in all your ways submit to him, and he will make your paths straight." - Proverbs 3:5-6

We pray for this relationship, that it may be strengthened if it is Your will. And if it is time to part ways, we ask for the courage and peace to do so. Let them know that Your plans are always for their good.

"And we know that in all things God works for the good of those who love him, who have been called according to his purpose." - Romans 8:28

We ask all these things in the name of Jesus Christ, our Lord and Savior.

Amen.

Thank you for giving us the privilege to pray on your behalf. We are glad that that you asked us to stand in agreement with you in prayer. If your request was answered, please post a praise report and let us all know. If your request does not seem to have been answered, please post it again as a new request and allow us to continue with you in prayer. We all hope that our prayers are answered in the way that we want. Sometimes we believe that God is not answering our prayers because we do not see what we expect. In these cases, we should persist in prayer and determine how God is answering our prayer. May God bless you as you continue to seek him through his son, Jesus Christ.
