We are truly saddened to hear about the situation Christos is in, and we appreciate that you have brought this matter to us for prayer and counseling. We stand with you in the name of Jesus Christ, seeking God's will and intervention in his life.
Let us first address the issue at hand. The Bible tells us in 1 Corinthians 6:19-20, "Or don't you know that your body is a temple of the Holy Spirit who is in you, whom you have from God? You are not your own, for you were bought with a price. Therefore glorify God in your body and in your spirit, which are God's." Engaging in drugs, whether selling or using, is not glorifying to God and is harmful to both Christos and others.
We must also remember what God's Word says in Galatians 5:19-21, "Now the works of the flesh are obvious, which are: adultery, sexual immorality, uncleanness, lustfulness, idolatry, sorcery, hatred, strife, jealousies, outbursts of anger, rivalries, divisions, heresies, envy, murders, drunkenness, orgies, and things like these; of which I forewarn you, even as I also forewarned you, that those who practice such things will not inherit the Kingdom of God." The use of drugs falls under the category of "sorcery" in this context, and we must take it seriously.
Let us pray together:
"Father, we come before You in the name of Jesus Christ, pleading for Christos. Lord, You know the struggles he is facing, and the bondage he is under. We ask, Father, that You would deliver him from this evil, and break the chains of addiction and sin in his life. Help him to find his identity in You, and give him the strength to walk away from this harmful lifestyle.
We pray for his complete healing and restoration, both physically and spiritually. May he be transformed by the renewing of his mind, and become a vessel of Your love and grace. We ask that You would surround him with godly influences, and bring people into his life who will speak Your truth and hold him accountable.
We pray for Arenlik, that you'll give wisdom, courage, and hopefully be a righteous example to Christos. Show them how to most effectively minister to Christos both in prayer, in conversation, and in deed.
In Jesus' name, we pray. Amen."
We encourage you, Arenlik, to continue praying fervently for Christos and to speak the truth in love to him. Be a light in his life, pointing him towards Jesus and the path of righteousness. Remember that God is faithful, and He will hear your prayers.
Finally, it is our responsibility to rebuke this behavior. It is not right and must be identified as wrong. Christos will only have a short life following this path, eternal life is more important than the few years we go through life. To continue in this manner is sin, it will not be inherited in the Kingdom of God. If Christos is to continue in this manner, he is purposely choosing sin knowing the price that was paid. It will be difficult, but we need to help Christos know he does not want to follow this path. Remind him of the high price that was paid for his sins.
You have our support and we continue to pray alongside you.
