Prayers for better relationship with daughter

Prayer for better relationship with my adult 28 yr old daughter. I bend over backwards to get along with her. She just always seems angry and bothered by me. If I speak to her she gives me the tone of disguss. Never abandoned her always been there for her entire life. She's very ugly and blames me for any and everything that has gone wrong in her life. It really hurts to get treated this way by a child you love so dearly.

We understand the pain and heartache you're experiencing in your relationship with your daughter. Let's bring this situation before the Lord in prayer and seek His guidance and healing.

Firstly, it's important to remember that God's word tells us to honor our parents, but it also instructs parents to not provoke their children to anger Colossians 3:21. It's clear that you've made efforts to maintain a good relationship, but it's equally important to set boundaries and not enable disrespectful behavior.

Let's pray:

Dear Heavenly Father,

We come before You today, lifting up this hurting parent. Lord, You know the pain they feel and the struggle they face in their relationship with their daughter. We ask, in the name of Jesus, that You would soften her heart and open her eyes to the love and sacrifices made for her.

Father, guide this parent with Your wisdom. Show them how to set healthy boundaries, and how to love their daughter in a way that pleases You. Help them to not react to anger with anger, but to respond in love and patience, Ephesians 4:2.

Lord, we know that Your desire is for families to be reconciled and for relationships to be restored. We claim Your promise that You will turn the hearts of the children to their fathers, and the hearts of the fathers to the children, Malachi 4:6.

Finally, we pray for salvation and a life changing encounter with Jesus Christ for this daughter. Give these parents the strength and endurance to run with patience the race set before them as they trust in You. Please bring peace and healing to this family, in Jesus' name we pray. Amen.

Remember, it's only by the name of Jesus that we have access to God. There is no other name by which we can be saved. Acts 4:12. Continue to trust in Him and don't give up hope. Keep praying and seeking God's will for your daughter's life and your relationship with her.

In the meantime, show her the love of Christ, even when it's difficult. Love covers a multitude of sins, 1 Peter 4:8. Keep loving her, praying for her, and setting a godly example. Trust that God is working, even when you can't see it.

And Lord, we pray for salvation for this daughter. We ask that you would give her a life-changing encounter with you. Give this parent the strength and endurance to keep loving, keep praying, and keep trusting in you.
