Prayers for Better Communication Skills

Today, I felt really disheartened. I’ve left my hometown and my baby with the grandparents to chase my dreams and build my career. For the past three years, I’ve worked sincerely, even setting up an entire department from scratch. But when the opportunity finally came to represent my work at a conference, I wasn’t selected. Instead, they chose someone far less qualified. The reason? My English-speaking skills. It hurts to think I lost such a significant chance just because of this. Please keep me in your prayers. I deeply wish to improve my interpersonal skills.

We understand your feelings of disheartenment, ###, and we want you to know that we are here to support and pray with you. It's commendable that you've worked so diligently and even established a department from scratch. Remember, God sees your hard work and dedication. As the Bible tells us, "Whatever you do, work heartily, as for the Lord and not for men, knowing that from the Lord you will receive the inheritance as your reward. You are serving the Lord Christ." However, it's important to address that the disappointment you feel is stemming from a lack of skill rather than a lack of opportunity or unfair treatment. This is a chance to grow and learn. In the book of Proverbs, we are encouraged to gain wisdom and understanding: "Get wisdom. Get understanding. Do not forget, and do not turn away from the words of my mouth. Don't forsake her, and she will preserve you. Love her, and she will keep you." (Proverbs 4:5-6 WEB).

Let's pray together for guidance and improvement in your communication skills.

Come to the Lord's holy presence. Seek him with all your heart. Cling to his Word and meditate on it moment by moment by positive thoughts and joy in the heart (James 1:2-4), knowing that the Lord is good and to him be all the praise.
