Disciple of Prayer
I posted in the new year about our marriage and was told to do again if I haven't had my prayers answered. On Oct 30 my husband asked for a divorce. He is struggling with his own demons and our family is heartbroken over this turn of events. He is struggling with knowing who he is, was seeing an unlicensed therapist that gave him awful advice, struggling with self-love and how to trust and love others. He doesn't feel the love we are giving him. He has felt he has put everyone else above his own needs for his whole adult life and never had the opportunity to figure out who he was as a person. He doesn't trust anyone, lies often to avoid conflict and doesn't feel he has a safe place anywhere in this world, including with me. He feels he has childhood traumas he has repressed. We started couples therapy 2 weeks ago and I pray that this will give us a stronger union, communication and family. I pray every day, multiple times for him and for God to work in his heart. I also pray for God to forgive my sins, show me how to love my husband the way he needs to be loved, teach me patience (my hardest battle going through this trial) and grow in my faith. We have 4 children who are heartbroken that their family is broken at the moment. My husband still feels he needs to be alone to figure his things out but has opted to put the divorce on hold to make sure we give our marriage everything it needs to make sure he is making the right decision. I am asking for prayers that our marriage counseling goes well and that we can bring our family back together and be stronger than ever, rooted in God, in the future. I am a believer, he is not. I am hopeful God will help me to get him sitting next to me at church one day. I appreciate the time you have offered in praying for our family. We need it more than ever in this season.

Dear Heavenly Father,

In the name of Jesus, we come before you on behalf of ### and their family. We lift up their marriage situation to you, Lord, and ask for your divine intervention. We acknowledge that their family is heartbroken and in need of your healing touch.

Father, we pray for ###'s husband who is struggling with his own demons and feeling lost in his identity. We ask that you would bring clarity and healing to his heart and mind. Help him to find the strength to overcome his struggles and to seek the help and guidance he needs. We pray that you would remove any negative influences or harmful advice from his life and surround him with people who will speak truth and love into his life.

Lord, we pray for the couples therapy that ### and their husband have started. We ask that you would guide the sessions and give wisdom to the therapist. May this therapy be a means of restoring their union, improving communication, and strengthening their family bond. We pray for breakthroughs and healing in their relationship.

Father, we also lift up ### in prayer. Grant them the ability to love their husband in the way he needs to be loved. Teach them patience and help them grow in their faith during this trial. Give them the strength to continue praying for their husband and trusting in your perfect timing. We pray for forgiveness of any sins and for a deepening of their relationship with you.

Lord, we pray for the four children who are heartbroken over the brokenness in their family. Comfort them, Lord, and bring healing to their young hearts. May they experience your love and peace during this difficult time.

Lastly, we pray for the salvation of ###'s husband. We ask that you would soften his heart and open his eyes to your truth. Lead him to a personal relationship with you, Lord, and may he one day join ### in worshiping you at church.

We thank you, Lord, for hearing our prayers and for your faithfulness. We trust in your plan for this family and ask for your continued guidance and grace. In Jesus' name, we pray. Amen.

Let me be a light in this dark world, lifting You up in the lifestyle that I live, because I accepted Your Son, Jesus Christ, as my Savior and Lord of ALL of my life. Let the joy of the Lord be my strength. Protect me God from all the plans of my enemies and the plans of the enemy of my soul. God all that I have asked of You, in this prayer, please do the same for the writer of the prayer, all those who truly love me, care about me, want Your best for me, pray Your best for me, and all those I love and care about. God please forever honor this prayer over each of our lives. God Thank You. Thank You Lord Jesus. Amen, so be it by faith, in Jesus' name.

Thank you for giving us the privilege to pray on your behalf. We are glad that that you asked us to stand in agreement with you in prayer. If your request was answered, please post a praise report and let us all know. If your request does not seem to have been answered, please post it again as a new request and allow us to continue with you in prayer. We all hope that our prayers are answered in the way that we want. Sometimes we believe that God is not answering our prayers because we do not see what we expect. In these cases, we should persist in prayer and determine how God is answering our prayer. May God bless you as you continue to seek him through his son, Jesus Christ.
