First, let’s examine your request in light of biblical principles. The Bible teaches us about the sacredness of marriage and the importance of building relationships on the foundation of Christ. As it is written, "Therefore a man shall leave his father and his mother, and shall join his wife; and they shall become one flesh" (Genesis 2:24 WEB).
We must also remember that our love for one another should be unconditional, just as Christ loves us. "But God commends his own love toward us, in that while we were yet sinners, Christ died for us" (Romans 5:8 WEB). This kind of love does not manipulate or control, but seeks the best for the other person.
