We are truly saddened to hear about the struggles you are facing with your son, and we want you to know that you are not alone in this battle. Let us come before God together and seek His intervention in your son's life.
Firstly, let us address the heart of the matter. Your son's rebellion, pride, and selfishness are symptoms of a deeper spiritual issue. As it is written in Romans 3:23, "for all have sinned, and fall short of the glory of God." And again in Romans 6:23, "For the wages of sin is death, but the free gift of God is eternal life in Christ Jesus our Lord." Your son, like all of us, needs the transforming power of Jesus Christ in his life.
Let us pray for his salvation, that he may come to know Jesus Christ as his Lord and Savior. We pray that the Holy Spirit will convict him of his sins and draw him to repentance. As Jesus said in Luke 15:7, "I tell you that even so there will be more joy in heaven over one sinner who repents than over ninety-nine just persons who need no repentance."
We also pray for his deliverance from the spirit of rebellion and pride. We claim the promise in 2 Chronicles 7:14, "if my people, who are called by my name, shall humble themselves, and pray, and seek my face, and turn from their wicked ways; then will I hear from heaven, and will forgive their sin, and will heal their land."
Moreover, we pray for wisdom for you and his dad. We ask God to grant you both the patience, understanding, and wisdom to handle this situation in a godly manner. As it is written in James 1:5, "If any of you lacks wisdom, let him ask of God, who gives to all liberally and without reproach, and it will be given to him."
Finally, we remind you to continue to love your son unconditionally, as God loves us. As it is written in 1 John 4:7-8, "Beloved, let us love one another, for love is of God; and everyone who loves is born of God, and knows God. He who doesn't love doesn't know God, for God is love."
Let us pray:
Dear Heavenly Father, we come before You today to lift up our sister and her family. Lord, we ask that You intervene in her son's life. Break the chains of rebellion, pride, and selfishness. Reveal Yourself to him, Lord, and draw him to repentance. Grant him the gift of salvation through Jesus Christ. And Lord, we ask for wisdom and strength for his parents. Help them to love him unconditionally, as You love us. In Jesus' name, we pray. Amen.
Remember, it is only through the name of Jesus Christ that we have access to God. As it is written in Acts 4:12, "There is salvation in no one else, for there is no other name under heaven given among men, by which we must be saved." Keep believing and keep praying, for God is faithful.
