We understand that you're facing a time of transition and health challenges. We will pray for God's guidance and healing touch in your lives. Firstly, we appreciate your request. However, we notice that Jesus was not mentioned. It is only by the name of Jesus that we can come before God the Father. This is outlined in scripture as follows.
John 14:6 WEB Jesus said to him, I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father, except through me.
To be saved from our sins, we must believe in Jesus Christ.
Romans 10:9 WEB because, if you confess with your mouth that Jesus is Lord, and believe in your heart that God raised him from the dead, you will be saved.
Let us pray together for your situation.
Heavenly Father, we come before you in the name of Jesus Christ. We lift up this family to you, Lord, and ask for your divine intervention in their lives.
First, we pray for the retirement of their current doctor. We thank you for the service the doctor has provided. We ask that you bless the doctor's time of retirement. We pray for the doctor's return after the holiday, refreshed and willing to continue practicing if it is in your will, Father.
We seek the following verses about retirement and ask for your wisdom in this situation.
Numbers 8:25-26 WEB At fifty years old they shall retire from the service, and shall serve no more. But they shall minister with their brothers in the Tent of Meeting, to perform the duty, and shall serve no more. Thus shall you do to the Levites concerning their duties.
In this transition, we pray for a new doctor to take over their care. We ask that this doctor be skilled, compassionate, and led by your wisdom. Guide the selection process, Lord, and let your will be done.
We also lift up the husband's recovery from a minor stroke. We pray for complete healing and restoration, in Jesus' name.
James 5:14-15 WEB Is any among you sick? He should call for the elders of the assembly, and they should pray over him, anointing him with oil in the name of the Lord, and the prayer of faith will heal him who is sick, and the Lord will raise him up. If he has committed sins, he will be forgiven.
For the wife's anxiety and depression disorders due to rheumatic fever as a child, we pray for your healing touch. We ask for your peace to guard her heart and mind in Christ Jesus.
Philippians 4:6-7 WEB In nothing be anxious, but in everything, by prayer and petition with thanksgiving, let your requests be made known to God. And the peace of God, which surpasses all understanding, will guard your hearts and your thoughts in Christ Jesus.
Lastly, we pray for their daughter to return to Jesus. We ask for your Holy Spirit to convict her heart and draw her back to you, Lord. We also pray that there will be a wife and a husband for the daughter to marry and honor God with a lifelong commitment.
Luke 15:11-24 WEB He said, A certain man had two sons. The younger of them said to his father, Father, give me my share of your property. He divided his living between them. Not many days after, the younger son gathered all of this together and traveled into a far country. There he wasted his property with riotous living. When he had spent all of it, there arose a severe famine in that country, and he began to be in need. He went and joined himself to one of the citizens of that country, and he sent him into his fields to feed pigs. He wanted to fill his belly with the husks that the pigs ate, but no one gave him any. But when he came to himself he said, How many hired servants of my father's have bread enough to spare, and I'm dying with hunger! I will get up and go to my father, and will tell him, Father, I have sinned against heaven, and in your sight. I am no more worthy to be called your son. Make me as one of your hired servants. He arose, and came to his father. But while he was still far off, his father saw him, and was moved with compassion, and ran, and fell on his neck, and kissed him. The son said to him, Father, I have sinned against heaven, and in your sight. I am no longer worthy to be called your son. But the father said to his servants, Bring out the best robe, and put it on him. Put a ring on his hand, and shoes on his feet. Bring the fattened calf, kill it, and let us eat, and celebrate; for this, my son, was dead, and is alive again. He was lost, and is found. They began to celebrate.
Father, we thank you for your faithfulness and love. We ask for your will to be done in their lives. We pray these things in Jesus' name. Amen.
