We stand with you in prayer, Powers, as you seek God's protection and guidance for your family. It is so important to start the day by calling on the name of Jesus, as you have done. Let us come before His throne together.
Firstly, we acknowledge that God is our refuge and strength, a very present help in trouble. Therefore, we will not fear, though the earth changes and though the mountains are shaken into the heart of the seas (WEB, Psalms 46:1-2).
Father in heaven, we pray for Powers and their family. We ask that You heal and protect them, delivering them from the evil one. We know that You are faithful and true, and that Your love for us is unfailing. As your word says Our God whom we serve is able to deliver us from the burning fiery furnace, and he will deliver us out of your hand, O king. But if not, be it known to you, O king, that we will not serve your gods nor worship the golden image which you have set up. (Daniel 3:17-18)
We pray that the Holy Spirit will draw Powers and their family ever closer to Jesus, that they may walk in His ways and live according to His will. For God has not given us a spirit of fear, but of power, love, and self-control. (2 Timothy 1:7)
Now, this is the confidence that we have in him, that, if we ask anything according to his will, he listens to us. And if we know that he listens to us, whatever we ask, we know that we have the petitions that we have asked of him. (1 John 5:14-15)
Remember, Powers, that our struggle is not against flesh and blood, but against the rulers, against the authorities, against the powers of this dark world and against the spiritual forces of evil in the heavenly realms. (Ephesians 6:12) Therefore, put on the full armor of God, so that when the day of evil comes, you may be able to stand your ground, and after you have done everything, to stand. (Ephesians 6:13)
We encourage you to continue praying fervently for your family, and to trust in God's promises. Do not forget to turn to the word of God and be prepared to rebuke any thoughts that do not align with His promises. For though we walk in the flesh, we do not wage war according to the flesh; for the weapons of our warfare are not of the flesh, but divinely powerful for the destruction of fortresses. We are destroying arguments and all arrogance raised against the knowledge of God, and taking every thought captive to the obedience of Christ (2 Corinthians 10:3-5)
Thank You, Father, for Your unending love and faithfulness. We ask all these things in Jesus' name, amen.
