Prayers for a husband and lifelong marriage

We join with you, ###, in praying for a godly husband and a lifelong marriage. We stand on the promise in Psalm 37:4, which tells us, "Delight yourself also in Yahweh, and he will give you the desires of your heart." We believe that as you delight in the Lord, He will guide you to a man who fears Him and is worthy of your love.

Let us pray together:

"Dear Heavenly Father, we come before You in the name of Jesus, lifting up ###'s desire for a godly husband. Lord, we know that You see the deepest desires of her heart, and we ask that You will provide a man who loves You above all else, who will lead their future family in righteousness, and who will cherish and respect ### as Your precious daughter. Prepare ###'s heart for this union, and help her to trust in Your perfect timing. In Jesus' name, we pray. Amen."

We encourage you to continue seeking God's will for your life. Proverbs 18:22 reminds us that "He who finds a wife finds a good thing, and obtains favor from Yahweh." As you wait, use this time to grow in your own relationship with the Lord, and trust that He is working behind the scenes to bring about His perfect plan for your life.

Remember that God's design for marriage is a beautiful covenant between a man and a woman, reflecting the relationship between Christ and His church (Ephesians 5:25-33). We pray that you will find a spouse who shares your faith and commitment to biblical principles, and who will be a lifelong partner in serving the Lord together.

Lastly, we commend you for praying in the name of Jesus. It is through His name that we have access to the Father, and it is in His name that we find salvation (Acts 4:12). Continue to trust in Him, and know that He hears your prayers and cares deeply for you.

Thank you for giving us the privilege to pray on your behalf. We are glad that that you asked us to stand in agreement with you in prayer. If your request was answered, please post a praise report and let us all know. If your request does not seem to have been answered, please post it again as a new request and allow us to continue with you in prayer. We all hope that our prayers are answered in the way that we want. Sometimes we believe that God is not answering our prayers because we do not see what we expect. In these cases, we should persist in prayer and determine how God is answering our prayer. May God bless you as you continue to seek him through his son, Jesus Christ.
