Prayers During this Pain

Requesting prayers for reconciliation and healing. My partner and I have been together for 13yrs and he walked away with another woman. This is the deepest pain I have felt. I still see this man as my husband. Requesting prayers for a breakthrough.

We are truly sorry to hear about the pain you are experiencing, ###. We will pray with you and seek God's will for your situation. First, we want to address a few things in your request. You mentioned that you have been with your partner for ### years and that he has left with another woman. We want to remind you that God's design for relationships is clear in the scriptures.

1 Corinthians 7:2 WEB But because of sexual immoralties, let each man have his own wife, and let each woman have her own husband.

Hebrews 13:4 WEB Marriage is honorable in all, and the bed undefiled, but God will judge the sexually immoral and adulterers.

From your request, it is unclear if you and your partner were married or living together. God's word teaches that marriage is a lifelong commitment between a man and a woman and it is a blessing of God.

Now, let us pray for you:

Dear Heavenly Father,

We come before you today, lifting up ### and her situation. Lord, we pray for your comfort and peace to surround her during this difficult time. We pray for her healing, that you will Psalm 55:17 WEB mend her broken heart and bind up her wounds. We pray for the man that was a part of her life and ask you to have mercy on him and convict his heart of fornication. Lord, we ask that you reveal to ### that marriage is a picture of Christ and the Church, and that your desire for her is a relationship in which she is a wife and in a covenant relationship with a man. In Jesus Christ name.

Forgiveness is a key part of healing.

Colossians 3:13 WEB bearing with one another, and forgiving each other, if any man has a complaint against any; even as Christ forgave you, so you also do.

Also, we would like to encourage you, ###, to examine your own heart and life. Use this time to draw closer to God, to seek His face and His will for your life. Remember that God can turn even the most painful experiences into opportunities for growth and testimony. Trust in Him, and He will direct your paths.

Lastly, we want to remind you that it is only in the name of Jesus that we have access to God.

John 14:6 WEB Jesus said to him, I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father, except through me.

Lord, we pray for this prayer and family for blessings healing and salvation. Heal and bless. May their lives be a praise and glory unto thee.
Come to the Lord's holy presence. Seek him with all your heart. Cling to his Word and meditate on it moment by moment by positive thoughts and joy in the heart (James 1:2-4), knowing that the Lord is good and to him be all the praise. We have been fervently seeking God for reconciliation and healing in your relationship, and we trust that His will shall be done.
