Heavenly Father,
We come before You with heavy hearts, lifting up ###, who is deeply ensnared by the chains of addiction. In these trying times, we are reminded of Your promise in Psalm 34:17-18, "The righteous cry out, and the LORD hears them; He delivers them from all their troubles. The LORD is close to the brokenhearted and saves those who are crushed in spirit." Hear our cries for ###, deliver him from his bondage, and heal his wounded spirit.
We pray for the removal of ### and all enablers from ###'s life. Let the scales fall from their eyes, as You revealed to Saul on the road to Damascus (Acts 9:18), so they may see the truth of their actions and the harm they are enabling. Guide ### and others away from the path of destruction and towards a journey of healing and redemption.
Lord, we ask that You expose the lies and the facade that ### has built around himself. Let the light of Your truth penetrate these shadows, revealing the severity of his condition to all he encounters. As Ephesians 5:11 instructs, "Have nothing to do with the fruitless deeds of darkness, but rather expose them." May this exposure lead to a genuine acknowledgment of his need for help.
Send divine interventions into ###'s life, individuals or circumstances that will guide him towards recovery and rehabilitation. We pray for his employer and those within his workplace to have the wisdom and courage to address the situation appropriately, not turning a blind eye but acting in ###'s best interest. Proverbs 27:6 says, "Wounds from a friend can be trusted, but an enemy multiplies kisses." Let those around him act in true friendship, seeking his ultimate good.
If incarceration is the path that will lead ### to clarity and the decision to seek rehabilitation, we submit to Your sovereign will. Use this time to speak to his heart, reminding him of his acceptance of Jesus in ###, and reignite the faith that once moved him. As Psalm 107:13-14 declares, "Then they cried to the LORD in their trouble, and he saved them from their distress. He brought them out of darkness, the utter darkness, and broke away their chains."
Father, we pray for a mighty work of transformation in ###'s life, that he may experience the fullness of Your love, grace, and redemption. May he emerge from this trial a testimony to Your power to save and change even the most desperate of situations.
In the mighty name of Jesus, we pray,
Amen.
