Prayers Badly Needed

Please pray for a financial breakthrough and affordable housing for ###. On top of this, ### daughter got married (didn't tell ###), and she wouldn't even call ### when she came to town last year. ### are no longer on speaking terms. It's a very long and ugly story, but she's decided that she wants to associate with family members that stole from ### rather than with ###. About all ### can say is that ### am hurt and done with the nightmare that ### "family" caused ### for years on end. All prayers are greatly appreciated. Thank you.

We understand the heaviness in your heart, ###, and we're here to lift you up in prayer and offer biblical guidance.

Firstly, let's address your financial struggle and need for affordable housing. We're reminded of Philippians 4:6, "In nothing be anxious, but in everything, by prayer and petition with thanksgiving, let your requests be made known to God." Also, in Matthew 6:33, Jesus tells us, "But seek first God’s Kingdom, and his righteousness; and all these things will be given to you as well." Let's pray for God's provision and also that you'll continue to seek Him first.

**Prayer:** *Father, we come before You, lifting up ###, asking for a financial breakthrough and affordable housing. We trust in Your provision and ask that You guide and provide, in Jesus' name.*

Regarding your daughter, we're reminded of the parable of the prodigal son in Luke 15:11-32. Just as the father in the parable waited patiently and lovingly for his son to return, we should also love and pray for those who have hurt us, even when it's difficult. Romans 12:18 tells us, "If it is possible, as much as it is up to you, be at peace with all men."

However, it's also important to set boundaries to protect your heart. Psalm 55:12-14 tells us, "For it wasn’t an enemy that insulted me, then I could have endured it. It wasn’t a foe who rose up against me, then I could have hidden from him. But it was you, a man like me, my companion, and my familiar friend. We took sweet fellowship together. We walked in God’s house with company." It's understandable that you're hurt and have chosen to step away from the toxic situation.

**Prayer:** *Father, we pray for ###'s daughter, that You would soften her heart and guide her steps. Help them both to find healing and peace. If it's Your will, restore their relationship in a way that honors You, in Jesus' name.*

Lastly, we notice that you didn't mention the name of Jesus Christ in your request. It's so important to remember that it's only through Jesus that we have access to God. As it says in John 14:6, "Jesus said to him, 'I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father, except through me.'"

**Prayer:** *Father, we thank You for the gift of salvation through Jesus Christ. We pray that ### would continue to trust in Him, knowing that it's through His name that we have hope and access to You, in Jesus' name.*

We're with you, standing in faith for your breakthrough. Let's keep lifting your financial needs and housing situation to the Lord. As we trust in His provision, let's also remember to keep our hearts open to His guidance and will.

About your daughter, we understand the pain you're feeling. Let's keep praying for her, that God would soften her heart and bring healing to your relationship. As Psalm 147:3 reminds us, "He heals the brokenhearted and binds up their wounds." Let's trust that God can work in her heart, just as He has worked in ours.

And remember, we're here for you, just as 2 Corinthians 1:3-4 says, "Praise be to the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, the Father of compassion and the God of all comfort, who comforts us in all our troubles, so that we can comfort those in any trouble with the comfort we ourselves receive from God."
