We understand that you're going through a difficult time, and we appreciate your heartfelt cry out to the Lord Jesus. It is a powerful thing to call upon His name, for it is only by the name of Jesus that you can be saved. It is only by calling on His name that you can have access to God. We are encouraged that you understand this by ending your prayer with "in Jesus' name." It reminds us of what Jesus said: "I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father except through me."
Firstly, we want to assure you that God's love for you is everlasting and unfailing. As mentioned in Jeremiah 31:3 WEB, "I have loved you with an everlasting love. Therefore I have drawn you to me with loving kindness."
However, we want to remind you that God does not want you to give up. In fact, He wants to give you strength and hope. It is written in Isaiah 40:29-41:1 WEB, "He gives power to the weak. He increases the strength of him who has no might. Youths faint and grow weary, and young men stagger and fall; but those who wait for Yahweh will renew their strength. They will mount up with wings like eagles. They will run, and not be weary. They will walk, and not faint," and "Be silent before me, islands, and let the peoples renew their strength. Let them come near, then let them speak. Let’s meet together for judgment."
We encourage you to wait on the Lord and seek Him in prayer and in His word. Allow Him to renew your strength. Remember, even when you feel weak, God is your strength and your portion forever. As the Psalmist says in Psalm 73:26 WEB, "My flesh and my heart fails, but God is the strength of my heart and my portion forever."
Let us pray for you:
Dear Lord Jesus, we come before You, lifting up our brother/sister in need of Your love, forgiveness, and strength. Lord, shower him/her with Your everlasting love and draw him/her closer to You. Forgive his/her sins and renew his/her strength. Help him/her not to give up but to keep his/her eyes fixed on You. Guide him/her through this struggling and give him/her the will to go on. In Jesus' name, we pray. Amen.
Be comforted by the words in the book of Zephaniah 3:17 WEB, "Yahweh your God is among you, a mighty one who will save. He will rejoice over you with joy. He will calm you in his love. He will rejoice over you with singing." Trust in Him, and He will give you the strength and hope you need.
