We are truly saddened to hear of the struggles you're facing, Shirleen. The feeling of stagnation and the difficulty in prayer can be challenging, but remember, God is always near to those who call upon Him (Psalm 145:18, WEB).
Firstly, let's address the feeling of lost faith. Remember, even in our weakness, God's love for us is unfailing. As it is written in Romans 5:8 (WEB), "But God commends his own love toward us, in that while we were yet sinners, Christ died for us." Faith isn't about how we feel, but about trusting in God's promises even when we can't see or feel them.
The spirit of backwardness you're experiencing can be combated with the Word of God. Submit yourself therefore to God. Resist the devil, and he will flee from you (James 4:7, WEB). You have the power, through Christ, to overcome this spirit. As it is written in Philippians 4:13 (WEB), "I can do all things through Christ, who strengthens me."
Let's pray together:
"Dear Heavenly Father, we come before You in the name of Jesus Christ, lifting up our sister Shirleen. Lord, we ask You to forgive her for any doubts and reignite her faith. Help her to trust in You even when she can't feel Your presence. We rebuke the spirit of backwardness in her life and proclaim victory in Jesus' name. Help her to overcome these feelings of stagnation and strengthen her bond with You. Guide her in her prayers and help her to draw near to You, knowing that You will draw near to her (James 4:8, WEB). In Jesus' name, we pray. Amen."
Shirleen, we encourage you to keep pressing on and trusting in God. Even if your prayers feel difficult, continue to seek Him. Start with small prayers, thanking Him for the things around you. As you persist, you'll find your bond with Him strengthening. Always remember, it's only through Jesus Christ that we have access to God (John 14:6, WEB). Keep your focus on Him and He will see you through.
