Let us first understand that the power of life and death is in the tongue, as it is written in Proverbs 18:21, "Death and life are in the power of the tongue; and those who love it will eat its fruit." It is commendable that your sister recognizes the need to control her tongue and we will pray for her.
However, we must address the use of "#" in the request. We understand that this symbol is often used to replace words or phrases in prayers, but we believe in the power of speaking plainly and openly to God, as He knows our hearts and understands our needs even before we ask Him.
Let us pray for your sister to overcome the struggle of the tongue.
Heavenly Father, we lift up the sister of the one who submitted this request, and we ask that You help her to tame her tongue. May the words of her mouth and the meditations of her heart be acceptable to You. May she speak words of life, kindness, and wisdom, and may she avoid words that bring death, strife, and foolishness. May she always be mindful of Proverbs 10:19, "In the multitude of words there is no lack of disobedience, but he who restrains his lips does wisely."
May she learn to be quick to listen and slow to speak as demonstrated by James 1:19, "So, then, my beloved brothers, let every man be swift to hear, slow to speak, and slow to anger." We pray for her to use her words to build others up and glorify you.
Father, we also pray that You guide her and the one who submitted this prayer to a personal relationship with Jesus Christ. It is only by the name of Jesus that we have access to You and it is only by the name of Jesus we can be saved. You sent Jesus to die on the cross for our sins and You raised Him from the dead. May they believe in Jesus. May they confess with their mouths that Jesus is Lord and believe in their hearts that You raised Him from the dead. Then they will be saved as described in Romans 10:9, "because, if you confess with your mouth that Jesus is Lord and believe in your heart that God raised him from the dead, you will be saved."
We ask this in Jesus' name. Amen
